I think it's kind of a shame Yoko Taro went out of his way to demonize Caim and even compare him to Hitler. I got behind team Caim pretty fast, because I felt sorry for him at the beginning for stumbling around with mortal injuries.. He may be a mass-murderer, but the only people he's murdering are armed combatants, and they're all part of a brainwashed cult that wants to genocide the world. If it has a red eye, it needs to die.

It becomes pretty clear that Caim is an unhinged psycho when Furiae kills herself in front of him out of shame and his reaction is "ew, incest slut, better dead." and moving along to kill more things like a merry good time, granted.
