It's a prototype rifle of which very few are in existence, and it was never released to the civilian market. The closest thing I've seen to it is a conversion kit some guy makes for SL8s, which is the civilian version of the G36. But that isn't a "true" XM8.

True but that's a pretty rare occurrence. The XM-8 was literally scrapped because it wasn't a US gun. Pentagon didn't want to give such a gigantic rearmament contract to a foreign company.

I've always liked the P90. Some people cry because it is deadly in close range (in video games.) But really it becomes disadvantaged at long range so it is balanced in most cases, in my opinion.
