Source about Link's Awakening HD? Last I check this uses Nintendiom (Nintendo's in house game engine) as this started off as a 3DS game, it will make no sense to replace the engine as Digital Foundry said nothing about UE4 in Link's Awakening HD.

Current Switch hits one very important milestone- it breaks even with your average 5V 2A chargers and powerbanks. A more powerful Switch will not only devour the battery it has in a blink of an eye, it'll also need an expensive and big USB-PD powerbank to be portable. At that point, may as well get a laptop.

Link's Awakening HD started as a 3DS game called Link's Awakening 3D but was moved over to Switch strictly because of how badly Wario Ware Gold did, the 3DS build was already finished but it was ported to Switch because of it.

Also Yoshi was in 576P in docked mode and 360P in handheld mode, if Link's Awakening HD was UE4 it would of had those resolution instead of 720P in docked mode and 576P in handheld mode.

the og switch couldn't even handle the regular clock limit of the x1 so it's reasonable to figure that going with the clock limit of a 16nm x2 is not happening either as they have around the same power consumption, scaling it to 7nm could just maybe allow the regular peak clocks of the 16nm x2

No, Sony wanted 50% ownership of Nintendo IPs to continue working on the system that would use THEIR discs. This was a massive electronics company trying to muscle into the market by essentially partially taking over Nintendo. I'm not saying the N64 was better for it (because it clearly wasn't), but Nintendo's currently independence only exists because they told Sony to go fuck themselves.
Nintendo has always been the smallest of the major players because they are solely a video game company.
