KH3 is way more fun to play than 2 for me currently, mostly because KH3 gives me more tools to play with in fights whereas while there's fun stuff to pull off in 2, it can get stale variety wise.

Well, Disney, mostly. I’d say “Pixar” though largely because KH3 has perhaps the worst assortment of worlds of any game in the series, even the spinoffs. Far too many worlds based on subpar CGI movies, like Big Hero 6 or Tangled. Barely anyone liked PotC 2 and 3, and this time they shoved them both into a single fucking chapter (the graphics were great, at least). Almost nothing “classic” Disney that wasn’t already in the previous games.
The next game is going to be even worse, though. Hope you’re ready for Inside Out, Coco, and The Good Dinosaur.

KH2 is floaty too, master form and final form are floaty as fuck by design (way floatier than anything in kh3) but it worked because they had parry frames in their animations. Floatiness isn't inherently bad, it's bad when it detracts from the experience (like being completely defenseless in 0.2 during your falling animation). KH3's air combat doesn't have the problems that existed in previous kh games and therefore floatiness is absolutely not an issue. You might want to know what you're talking about before quoting memes.

I don't know, it was great for me. It was an awesome fucking ride and I enjoyed the whole thing. I literally blew through the whole game in like 3 days because I couldn't stop playing. So now I see threads were people say it's a flop and I just can't relate in any way. It was everything I was looking for and then some. Floaty combat is when you can spend 90% of your time in the air and nothing really has weight behind it. That's the entirety of the whole time I played this game. The game is by definition casual so don't even try to bring up that argument. Proud mode might as well have been normal for how easy it was, if there's a critical mode they blew their chance not letting it be selectable from the getgo.

The fight with The Fierce, The Rogue, and The Mystic were hard as fuck when I played that game. Holding one button would absolutely get your shit pushed in. By bad gameplay I meant the lousy gameplay found in Chain of Memories, Days, all Command Deck games. None of that junk was actually good it was just "workable" because of handheld restrictions but those games aren't actually fun to play. And please don't even dare say "But Re: Coded" I don't give a fuck. I want at least KH2 tier of combat mechanics with the same flow. SE's teams cannot give me that then it's a downgrade which is what KH3 is.
KH doesn't have overall good gameplay. This series isn't like say Devil May Cry where once they figured out what kind of gameplay makes fans happy they KEEP that style as much as possible. This experimenting around with the gameplay has honestly made me not replay most of the games in the series because it's not fun. And I'm surprised by how fanboys defend the gameplay, this gameplay is junk.

There are millions of kh fans, me included, that weren't that happy with 3. I don't hate the game, don't get me wrong, I just didn't like it that much. Maybe the charm wore off on me I don't know. But every thread people chalk up anyone who says negative shit about kh3 to Barry which makes no fucking sense. I played both games and honesty liked XV better because the story and characters, while still disjointed, was endearing, particular the brotherhood aspect between the main four. The music in particular, which was a huge reason I love kh1/2 so much, was top notch in XV while lacking in kh3. Baymax, Pirate world, toy story, and tangled were the only tracks I really enjoyed. Graphics were stellar in both games, combat was subpar in both games, but if I wanted to play these for the combat alone I'd drop both and go play DMC5 again.
My point is that both games were flawed, they had their moments, XV being comfy with chocobos and KH3 with the best gummi ship levels in the series, but overall I would've been happy without the corporate fuckery.
I'm a guy who has a relatively average opinion of this game, and I can almost guarantee someone is going to somehow call me Barry for leveling mild criticisms at KH3 and not completely shitting on everything about FFXV. I can also guarantee people who hate KH would absolutely take the time to shitpost about it regardless of whether they played 3 or not. It's so stupid to chalk it all up to Barry when plenty of 400+ post threads had people complaining about this game when it release and the months following.

You could be 100% on the mark for all I remember. I just know when I played KH2 I was angry at the changes to the ship as a kid but that was 10+ years ago. I just really enjoyed the ship parts in this one, honestly moreso than some of the worlds.

My Zoomer PSN friend was nearly brought to tears by the Roxas fight. He had literally never encountered an actually hard boss before and I got to listen to him get rolled over and over.
