In light of Valve getting owned by France...

In light of Valve getting owned by France, just a reminder that Epic Game Store is simply a better application than Steam.

Also Dauntless players are around 10 million now and Borderlands 3 is doing VERY VERY well, so Epic is here to fucking stay.

Goddamn it you faggots pushing pseudo console wars just because you can't live without having some drama to bother about, have fucking sex.

This thing in France applies to all Game stores though?

>make a free game
>people create 10 million accounts (or automatically give it to 10 million accounts)

yeah that second post totally fucks up the false flagging, more than a decade on steam and never had any of those problems

>In light of Valve getting owned by France
Do you people never read shit or what? It affects ALL digital sales, not just Steam. Everything, movies , books, games, music, everything.

Why do you believe that Epic would be immune from the France idiocy?

>Valve getting owned by France
Why do you think it would only affect valve?

yeah okay

For real I saw a lot of weird accounts shilling for epic. This one for instance.
Nothing but retweets and links to articles shilling for epic.

twitter.com/magicmushroom59

A higher court in France ruled that all digital goods must be able to be re sold by the owner. This is technically pro consumer but long term it destroys any market not AAA Fornite type shit. Say good bye to games like Greedfall

>But im not french
This could affect the EU, and if it affects the EU it ends up affecting the whole world. Kind of how steam returns in the EU fucked up Steam sales worldwide.

>delete .blob
i haven't had to do that in almost 10 years wtf is this guy on?

>Valve pulls Steam out of Europe because of this lawsuit.
>Denuvo becomes uncrackable.
>Europeans can no longer pirate or purchase any PC game.

Attached: me.jpg (600x600, 33K)

Why does it make games as a service mandatory though in the long term? And what's stopping people from making games like Greedfall? That's a little pessimistic.

I'm inclined to agree somewhat because every few days I'll find that Steam is using 100% of a single core and refuses to stop until I manually restart it only for the process to begin again the next few days.

>the abandoned batman version on steam still has denovo
>now steamies crying about the superior epic version
this is just the beginning steamie, give it one year and nobody gives a fuck about steam anymore, enjoy your abandoned shovelware :)

Attached: 1568928203326.jpg (675x964, 106K)

i've been using steam since they made me do so to play cs1.6 and i don't even know what a blob is

hey dummy use your head and think of the ramifications of 3rd party used digital game sales lol

And not even explaining shit.
You're basically saying no one will make games anymore for PC.

>make games like a service
Cause if a $60 game has to be resold but micro transactions don't, then a game will just be transitioned to have even more micro transactions and free to "buy"

Which doesn't work unless the game is one you play for a long time like Fortnite.
I get what you are saying but wouldn't they just have a timer for the game before you an resell it or just have it available for resale for a free trail after said period?

Game company makes AAA game free. To go beyond the title screen you need to buy game bucks that you then use to buy access to the game. Technically you bought a currency which is not resellable

Right that makes sense. But this is assuming they have already been defeated and won't win the appeal, and they may considering how ludicrous this ruling is as it affects the PC marketspace in general.

Please go and fearmonger elsewhere.

What the hell is he talking about? steam is shit, but not for those reasons...

Okay Chang

The France ruling is so fucking moronic. There's no such thing as a "digital used good".

I hope Valve just ignores this shit and tanks the fine or cuts off service for France. I really don't want to live in a future where everything is subscription-based and $60 for a 12 month license to a game. This legislation seems pro-consumer until you think about it for 5 seconds.

I wonder what web browser this guy uses.

I've never experienced this problems.
AKA
>works on my machine! :)

>western shit will go to epic where it can die

its a win win scenario for both of us

>"durr Epic is better"
>provides zero reasons except perhaps some tweet I'm not reading because fuck Twitter

Epic is literally, LITERALLY, just Steam with fewer features. Stop.

>There's no such thing as a "digital used good".
And if there is, the ruling sets a precedent for basically every digital retailer to get just as "owned" as Steam. It's not like France is passing a law that calls out one American company in particular and applies special laws to that one particular company. That's not how things work.

They're appealing the decision anyway so it's actually too soon to call anyone a winner.

yeah that's hilarious, I don't think 10 million people even know what the fuck is Dauntless

i kinda hate steam. if i could sell my games and establish a new library on epic i would do it.

People still play Dauntless?

God when are twitter screencap threads going to be a bannable offense?

when some brave soul start to spam the entire board with only twiter threads 100% of the time all day long

thats the ONLY thing that forces the mods to act

winnie the poo

>literally not even once after 2008 lmao
aint that the truth, only time i restart steam, origin, uplay etc are when i restart my whole pc which is about once every couple months

Is this guy retarded? I can't remember the last time you had to delete your client blob. Also this law applies to every other company, not just steam. Go shill Epic on Reddit. Stop wasting time on here.

IF WE LIE ENOUGH ABOUT STEAM, THEN IT BECOMES FACT! SIMPLE AS THAT!

You do know that this will also apply to Epic, right?
I hope it passes, it'll fuck over every digitalnigger and when they try to push subscriptions we'll fucking ban that too.
I'm game, corporations pushed too hard, time for big daddy government to bend them over and start fucking.
Cuckservatives and lolbertarians don't @ me, I don't care about your opinions.

i love fearmongers, specially on Yea Forums. I have a folder with a collection of posts like yours, just to laugh whenever they turn to be completely wrong, thanks for entertaining me retard please go on

Epic is giving away SIX FREE GAMES WORTH. What is Steam doing? A garbage library update and a new app that helps you find even more trash?

LMAO

As if I'm somehow suppose to believe Dauntless is doing that good with Monster Hunter World literally topping charts. As if I'm suppose to fucking believe 400k for Borderlands 2 is a lot. As if I'm somehow suppose to believe this WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO VERIFY IT IN ANYWAY WHATSOEVER. As if I'm suppose to believe EPIC IS ANTI-WORKER when Fortnite is literally in the middle of a fucking controversy of overtiming its workers.

Then I look at the bio and its a guy that works for RPS, PC Gamer, and VICE. Then all of a sudden, oh, everything makes fucking sense. Its Epic money.

Remember all the doomsaying they did when Valve started allowing refunds?
Watching corporate cucks freak out will never stop being funny.
Face it faggots, we're going to make sure that digital is just as consumer-friendly as physical, and if companies try to stop us we'll lobby the government to fucking ban it.
This is the future you asked for, stop shilling for them and we won't have to do this.

I quite literally cannot smoothly scroll on the Epic Store at max framerate.

wouldn't egs also be affected by the ruling?

works on my machine :)

Oh boy, the lego Batman trilogy. Godlike. Oh boy, Arkham Knight without the DLC, what a steal. Oh boy, none of these six games are out at the moment but can be picked up for pennies on Steam.

Oh boy. Oh boy.
Oh boy.

>478640882
>In light of Valve getting owned by France
Doesn't the same policy apply to Epic?

...so how long until someone takes Epic to court?

yes

But digital and physical products are not the same. It's nonsensical. There is an advantage to buying a new physical product. There is NO advantage to buying a new digital product if there are "used" copies going around. Digital games do not age, they do not wear, they do not damage, they are infinitely duplicable files. Why would anyone buy a game from the developer when some Russian with a stolen credit card is selling "used copies" for a 99% markdown?

Either make digital as consumer-friendly as physical or every non-Amerimutt/chink government is going to start bitchslapping everyone from Microsoft to Google to Valve to Epic to Apple.

THE EGS HAS A LIST VIEW NOW WHILE THE STEAM BETA UPDATE REMOVE IT

LMAO KEEP SEETHING DRONES

Store experience is irrelevant. Does hanging out at Walmart inhibit the games you bought there?

Why not just pirate it?

I think this is pretty funny. Imagine downloading some major title and then selling infinite copies of it for a fraction of the price and raking in more sales than the creator of the game.

What are you talking about? Steam Store is unchanged and the library still has a list

I shouldn't have to arguably break the law to have access to consumer-friendly practices.
Either stop fucking consumers over or get fucked in court, there are no other options.

>the amount of times you have to refresh the store, or delete your client blob, or restart the application

this literally never happened to me, what is that idiot talking about?

German courts already dismissed this shit years ago.

>I should be able to infinitely resell a product after I'm done using it
"No!"

Yea, imagine buying some major game, copying it, and then selling infinite copies for a fraction of the price and raking in more sales than the creator of the game.

This shit has never happened to me in the decade I used steam, fuck off shill.

Do you have to go back to walmart every single time you want to play the games you bought there? Stop these shithouse comparisons

EU court > German court
It's like citing Texas Supreme Court when compared to US Federal Law.

Doesn't matter, if I purchase a product I should be able to resell it, try to block me and I'll lobby the fucking government to slap your ass down in court.
I did this shit when I was in high-school and sold pirated copies of Shadow of Chernobyl to the programming club. That was to around 20 people, if you seriously think you can get away with doing this on a scale like how you describe, you'd be shot instantly by some company. Imagine how fucked the market could be everyone could sell a copy of their game. What would even be the point in doing so? You wouldn't make any money from doing it, why would anyone buy from some dude and not just pirate it? You could argue this exists in G2A and such, but they're selling keys.

Attached: 1543390820450.jpg (1142x1600, 498K)

>try to block me and I'll lobby the fucking government to slap your ass down in court
literally who's talking

It is actually, hence why we're even having this thread to begin with.

No, but if the store was disgusting and the cash registers barely worked and the staff were all faggots I still wouldn't want to shop there.

>Steam memory leaking
On Arma with maximum graphics maybe

>europe becomes the most prosperous place in the world

bullshit people are playing dauntless

No, we're having this thread because of a 2019 French ruling.

Isn't is bad for every single company that sells digital products? They're just using steam as an example because it's easier to rule against one company, than every company.

>Imagine how fucked the market could be everyone could sell a copy of their game.
Yea, look at how fucked the console market is.
Totally doesn't make more money than the PC market, it's just completely dead, huh?
And the reason I would buy a key from someone else is the same reason I would buy a used console game.
See, when you buy a used console game, you can still play that game online, all you need is PS+/XBL (thank god we got past that shitty period of one-time-use online code shit).
No reason it can't be the same on PC aside from retards like you.

i can't even remember the last time steam annoyed me with shit, only thing i get buttmad about even is if i get sick and take off from work and i'm free on a tuesday night and steam is getting maintenance for the shortest amount of time.

A ruling that was possible due to the precedence set by the original 2012 EU high court ruling.
And now this sets a NEW precedence not just for digital licensed software like Oracle's software suite, but for digital games and accounts as well.
Soon companies will have nowhere to run, and if they try we'll just vote in more socialists who will hold them accountable.

You can't resell digital console games.

You will be able to soon thanks to this ruling.
Thank you based France.

No you won't. This will be challenged.

The only memory leaks that I've experienced is in their new library beta. But it's an opt in beta anyway so whatever

I gave it a shot but dauntless inhales nigger dick

It happens literally every big sale for a good 3 hours, and then continues more inconsistently the rest of the day.

Do you not understand the concept of physical vs digital? There's already safe-guards in place if I try to burn a blu-ray and try to copy a PS4 game from it. What's to stop me from copying my PC games files hundreds of times and selling it to no-one that'll buy it? That'll be another form of DRM then. How about where to sell it? You can open a craigslist ad if you wanna sell your copy of Jak, am I going to sell people USBs of a game then? I would actually love the ability to just sell my digital games so I can just be rid of it but you're just an ideas guy and a complete moron.

>Only threads about steam are usually friend threads, sale threads, and laughing at awful greenlight/indie/anime games, epic is never mentioned unless to troll against steam
>Only threads about epic are about how epic is better than steam, how steam is bad, why you should install epic

I don't know anything about epic other than that it's paid advertisers on here are always pissed off at steam.

Attached: 1535762617878.jpg (1114x535, 322K)

And it'll be upheld easily.
Thank you based France.

Wanna bet? How about I screencap your posts and on September 19th, 2020 if you can't resell your games on Steam and PSN, I'll call you a fucking retard?

>What's to stop me from copying my PC games files hundreds of times and selling it to no-one that'll buy it?
Said games being tied to your account, you fucking moron.
You retards LITERALLY made this exact same argument when it came to digital refunds and it was laughed at as the absolute meaningless joke that it was (and still is).
Face it shill, it's over, every digital storefront will soon HAVE to allow me to resell my games.

>Said games being tied to your account, you fucking moron.
Do you not realize your game's files are still in your PC until deletion? I've refunded so many steam games because I know that there's a cracked .exe out there. They can't tamper with your computer unless given permission so they can't remove the game from your drive. Are you actually a fucking idiot that's just in it for shitposting?

Attached: 1545483890332.jpg (869x1253, 458K)

They will have a period in which after 6-12 months you can resell your game.

And all of that still applies to refunds and yet, they're accepted (and forced) practice on PC.
And soon this will be too, because companies will have no choice.

France's law would just allow you to sell your account legally. It's not like you could sell your used games one by one, which would heavily impact the market.

There really is nothing to be worried about, nobody will sell their entire Steam account, and nobody will buy those either because of the possibility of being scammed.

Attached: 1561557081551.png (329x360, 236K)

>And all of that still applies to refunds and yet, they're accepted (and forced) practice on PC.
Yeah with a restriction of being 2 hours under unless you wanna speak to support for a couple of hours if you have more. So is that going to be the stipulation? You can't sell if you have a ton of hours on it?

>delete blob, refresh the store, etc
In the 15 years I've been on Steam, I've maybe had to deal with the .blob once. Steam isn't perfect and has some issues, e.g; their browser sucks major ass, but that's why I use an actual browser for that. I think it more boils down to people being idiots with their pcs and not understanding how to take care of them properly, instead they just push it like a slave instead of understanding and working with its' odd flaws.

Kek, I've gotten refunds on games with 6+ hours, if a game is shit Valve will 9/10 times give you a refund.
It's simple, you can resell your game whenever you want, but it has to be a certain percentage of the current price of the game and it can't have been bought for less than what you're selling it for or be a third party key.
Boom, that fucking simple you're welcome you moronic corporate dicksucker.

works fine on my machine

Why do you type so confidently despite being so stupid

Is EU willing to face off against all the big tech corps for this ruling? And even shit like Disney?

We had used game sales for decades and it was fine

I literally said that'll give you a refund on either scenario. And again who is going to fucking buy these copies? If everyone is selling it a this certain percentage of the original price, why not just buy from the original when it goes on sale? Or if someone is so set on buying it for cheap, why not just buy it from a key reseller for even less? As I said before, you're an idea guys and a complete moron.

>U-UR DUMB
I accept your concession.
You can send me your heartfelt congratulations in the mail.

This only applies to Steam.

You might be a little outside your ken, friendo.

>rile some feathers
sigh

>Why would I buy a legit Steam key for a $50 game for $30 on the market when I could buy a possibly illegitimate third party key for roughly the same price?
Really gets that noggin a joggin.
And it doesn't really matter who would buy it, there's always going to be someone who's cheap enough to not want to pay full price for a game, cautious enough to not want to pirate or buy a third party key, and impatient enough to go for a used copy instead of waiting for a sale.

That was inevitable mate and not because of videogames.

Facebook, google, twitter, etc have too much fucking power as platforms. They should not be able to infleunce and stifle the public zeitgeist as much as they do.

Some light reading for you.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_law

delete

Honestly hadn't had to restart or delete or fuck with the installation at all in nearly a decade and I've been in the beta build for a long ass time. Only really have to refresh during sales occasionally. I can think of one way is completely fucking fucked is that everything grinds to a halt when you upload screenshots. On a whole it's fine this person has to be purposefully retarded to have all that shit happen on a regular basis.

What makes your copy legit vs a key that just activates a game? The only way to figure out that you didn't replace the games cutscenes with dolphin porn is through DRM and manually checking every single copy that goes through the market. So another thing to add onto Denuvo. And the people you describe literally only apply to you. Absolute morons who get caught pirating one thing and become scared indefinitely.

With discs you need to either sell to a third part brick and mortar, where you get about 10% of the sale value. Or you have to try and find someone to sell it to, and then you have to physically get the disc into their hands and their money into yours. It's a hassle.

With digital there will just be an online swap store where you can get games at just below sale value with zero downsides and the host will probably just take a small cut.

Why did america give silicon valley so much power?

You are literally describing the Steam DRM that already exists you dumb fucking moron.
And I mainly pirate, I only pay for Jap games.

>impatient enough to go for a used copy
IT ISN'T USED

A DIGITAL FILE CANNOT BE "USED"

自由香港,自由西藏,自由新疆

Eat my ass nigger.

I've literally never had to do any of those. 10+ years on steam. Well mimsu the refresh but like you gotta do that on actual browsers sometimes so shrugemoji
Here's your (you) OP. (you)s ruined Yea Forums.

And again, your files stay in your computer no matter what. So what then? Valve is just going to let you sell your copy and then let you keep the original behind an .exe that can be easily cracked? Or are you going to give them the power to just do whatever they want as long as they have just cause?

G2A is dabbing on literally everyone right now

Look you computer people are smart, just set it up so the files on your computer go to the guy you are selling it to. It's that simple

The games don't work without being launched through Steam unless they're cracked or DRM-free, and at that point you're just pirating the game and would be better off (and would literally save money) just skipping a step and going straight to tpb or kat or your preferred private tracker.
Are you a consolenigger or something? Did you not even think about how retarded this argument is?
Why the fuck would you buy a game so you can copy the files and sell it for half of what you paid when you can just not spend any money and fucking pirate it?

A FUCKING TRANNY
twitter.com/Mintaka2D

It's not that simple, what you just described is how indian tech support scammers get people daily. And this idea is completely stupid anyway. Why would anyone let someone else upload shit to their network? It's again someone can just send me dolphin porn instead of the game I wanted.

>Why the fuck would you buy a game so you can copy the files and sell it for half of what you paid when you can just not spend any money and fucking pirate it?
THANK YOU. The other guy is a complete fucking idiot who doesn't understand how pointless this all is when you realize people will literally just pirate games instead of buying from some random guy on the internet.

Well that's on you boys to figure out, the law is getting passed in a week. Stop making it so complicated

The easiest way for this to work is to just have Valve give your money back. That's it, a glorified refund.

>I pirate a copy of the game
>Sell it on the steam market
>Copy paste and sell another copy of the game
Holy shit I'm genius

I am "the other guy" you idiot, my point is that what you're trying to argue is literally a waste of time.
It benefits the people who bought a game, liked it, played it, and want to sell it later on.
It does not benefit pirates of any kind because they would be losing money, which defeats the purpose of pirating.
Are you a fucking invalid?

am i the only one who has never given a shit about this meme war and just enjoyed tf2 and gmod

That doesn't sound like selling the game to me user. Afraid you'll have to try better than that if you want to do business in my country

Isn't that the end-goal for these Eurofags anyway? Just to make a quick buck after playing FIFA to death?

And how will this system work for countries with cheap regional pricing?

Easy, the same way it works IRL.
Heavy transaction fees for cross-region trading or flat out region locking for used keys.

Epic has no games though. They dont even have permanent exclusives.
Its as important as battle.net

Keys on Steam are largely already region locked anyways so it'd be simple to limit reselling to the seller's region only.

Isn't Valve actually fighting against another EU ruling where they don't want geolocking on Steam?

>my point is that what you're trying to argue is literally a waste of time
You're the only person in the thread that types like that, I know it's you, learn to read between the lines. Anyway the whole idea of selling your digital game is a waste of time. You're looking at it like pirates are specially going to buy games just to sell them and pirate them. Why wouldn't anyone just buy a game they'd want and sell it later on and as an afterthought, crack it so they have it forever anyway? No actual person is going to go though your stage too, the same argument applies to pirates. If a pirate likes a game a lot, will they end buying a key of it anyway? What type of person is going to buy a game they liked right? And then just sell it because they could? How many people do you see sell their used games because they could? Go to any gamestop, all the actual used games are piles of shit that got sold back because they weren't any good. Why would the country that would rather have free digital distribution over what's being described, ever allow this to happen? I remember Akatsuki Blitzkampf being sold online for a couple days before just being taken down because everyone would rather pirate it instead of giving these randos free money.

Ignore that last part, I meant to put that in my thesis paper, not here.

Yea Forums - Twitter posts

>Why wouldn't anyone just buy a game they'd want and sell it later on and as an afterthought
That's literally what the point is.
Now explain why that's a bad thing.
I can do the same shit with the refund system, buy a game, play for an hour, uninstall it get a refund, then pirate it later on.
>If a pirate likes a game a lot, will they end buying a key of it anyway?
Possibly, that's what I did with games like Dying Light and Monster Hunter World.
Point is, this is going to happen, just like refunds did, because the arguments against it are just as flimsy and the people against it obviously don't care about the consumer's best interests.

>Valve pulls steam out of Europe
>epic doesn't
>devs stop releasing on steam because it does not sell to half the gaming market
>Gabe sells steam and the valve library to EPIC
Based and far more realistic scenario between two major competitors.

Attached: 1568434477859.png (888x894, 520K)

You do know that every single online game store, from Steam and Epic to PSN and Nintendo's would have to comply, right? The law doesnt apply to certain companies only.

What does that have to do with anything at all?

>valve pulls out from EU
>no more liberals or sjws in video games
>no more tranny steam profiles
>all cheaters gone from video games
>euroshit games gone forever
It'll be a blessing

Valve can't do much and will bend the knee just as they did with refunds. They cannot take the financial hit.

Why would Steam pull out of Europe and not Epic? As far as I know, Epic doesnt allow you to resell games either.

>10m people playing Dauntless

Attached: 1562281435695.jpg (655x902, 281K)

>Point is, this is going to happen, just like refunds did, because the arguments against it are just as flimsy and the people against it obviously don't care about the consumer's best interests.
Complete opposite, if a system to sell games were to come into Steam, you'd need even more DRM and moderation to make sure it goes smoothly. Don't bring up the refund system because your damn files are still there.
My point is that you can't stop piracy at all in either scenario but with one, you're getting some money back for it which probably terrifies these companies and will allow them to force even more shit down people's throats,
The current system in place isn't even that good either, as you said earlier they'll just give a refund no matter what anyway, you seriously think they're going to let you sell it. Another thing too, what if I bought a game when it was on sale? Do i sell at the original designated percentage, a fixed price, or the original discount? What if the discount is lower than the original selling price?

Because if valve left, the entirety of Europe would be fore epic and valve would lose probably half their income m8. Valve isn't operating a monopoly anymore. Competitors exist and business teaches us some companies won't leave and will just beat valve thanks to it. Why give llike 40% of your customers to your competitor? Why would epic leave if valve did first? Do you believe every vidya company is gonna shutter its office over this? Because it's basically what they'd need to do.

Mods are tied by Hiro who can remove their mod status at any time. If Hiro said "nah, leave those up it makes me money" then the mod can quit and nothing else.

So, you are asuming Valve would just pull out of Europe for no reason at all?
And honestly, wish it was a monopoly, every non-Steam launcher is underdeveloped garbage. Uplay and Origin havent been updated in years now.

Does epic have the manpower to create a game reselling service on their client? If anyone is going to win here it'd be stadia with the whole, "Subscription services are immune to this ruling" claus

It always has been. You thought this site was ruleless because bans are not public.

Imagine thinking your minor company can beat out entire first world countries. Valve isn't even worth that much in the grand scheme of things. Certainly not "fuck you" rich.

Reminder it'd take like 80 Gabes to equal one Bezos.

not to mention the average user only uses like 1% of the features anyway

>Don't bring up the refund system because your damn files are still there.
No they're not, it would literally function exactly like the refund system except between two users.
>Another thing too, what if I bought a game when it was on sale? Do i sell at the original designated percentage, a fixed price, or the original discount? What if the discount is lower than the original selling price?
I literally already explained this you moron, you wouldn't be able to sell the key for more than you bought it for. Valve already tracks how much you paid for each game on your account, so they can easily implement this.
Again, your arguments against this are hilariously flimsy because you clearly have no idea how Steam works, so yes, this is going to happen.

What fucking memory leak?
Fucking tranny shill
>Epic making 0% cut from borderlands because it's "VERY GOOD" success is all pre-made sales
>dauntless is a ghost-town of 10 million fakes chink accounts that no-one plays because Iceborne is out on consoles and soon on PC too
0.5 social credits

>Subscription services are immune to this ruling" claus
And then the government creates a new law where subscriptions must also be available for resale or refunds since Stadia still has full $60 products separate from the actual subscription.

Clicking an icon does not bring you back to a store (like steam does) Don't be obtuse.

Companies bend the knee when the powerful say so. Google fucked huawei because US said to do it.

Can’t steam just make something to say “cannot re sell games after x amount of time” similar to their refund policy?

1st amendment

I didn't even remember it was a thing before I read that post. The things we take for granted eh?

They do, but you must buy your games one at a time.

Forget steam lads. I want to see how big of a clusterfuck this is going to be for the rest of digital world.

>webpages being slow because of influx of people during sales
>memory leak

Steam may be a pain in the ass but I have 1k+ worth of games invested on there.
NOTHING is going to make me switch to anything else.

>Europe
>Half the gaming market
Not even close. China is first, then the US + Canada + Mexico, then EU.

How many threads arw you shills going to make?

You're right actually, sorry for talking to for so long. This system is inevitable and i was wrong to doubt it. I'm sorry.

>includes player "data" for games that are semi exclusive in a post gloating over a small lawsuit
hmmm, I wonder who could be behind this post

How many time are you gonna cry?

Fuck off to fortnite zoomer

>Store experience is irrevalent
ah, neat
now to just talk about game running issues on the foru-
>no forum
oh, well okay, maybe I should have looked at the user reviews befor ha-
>no user reviews
oh, well fuck this!

>In light of Valve getting owned by France,
what happened here?

it's funny how people think this would only cause issues for valve, when it'd realistically affect damn near the entire digital platform as a whole up (including companies like sony or nintendo) until the 'you make an account for free, then pay for a monthly/yearly subscription to x product' thing some software companies have been moving towards.

also all stores, including epic.

You do realize anything that happens to Valve will happen to Epic Games right?

yea cant you tell from how much buzz it gets over monster hunter

It counts people who have played the game at least once. I downloaded it and played it for about an hour before deleting it since it's a giant pile of shit. I'm technically considered a player.

They wouldn't pull out, they'd get a separate client.

User game reviews aren't illegitimate, don't pretend they are coherent. If a game needs a forum to organize some senselessness of an incomplete mess its not worth defending, end of story.

>muh shit game has a support network
wow

>go to Gabenstop
>go to buy a game
>go to Steam Marketplace to find a user selling a used dematerialized key for a game
>buy Used Steam Game for a fraction of the cost
Steam just became even more based

I'll be honest the idea of a secondhand steam market place is hilarious.

You thought tradefags were autistic? Well this is going to be even fucking worse.

lets just hope they pull out of europe entirely

The one problem I have with Steam is that the Steam web browser in game would completley black out after several minutes of browsing, along with the other seperate interfaces.

>an easy and convenient feature that is easily replicable is thrown out in considering a store fronts utility
you really are reaching

time to buy some fucken used games
hell yeah

Steamies being seethie

But they still sell the same

>Or you have to try and find someone to sell it to
Like on ebay?

JUST

So they are pulling out of America too?

>Epic shill is so retarded he thinks it only affects Valve

>Steam offers more features
>But Epic is better
What a retard.

Cry more, Steam drones

Here's what will actually happen: Steam will get a small fine and business will continue as usual.

Tℎis comment ℎ𝑎s been censored due to Europe𝑎n Union’s copyrigℎt l𝑎w.

I have Steam often open for 12+ hours. Never had any issues.

they have to do this or pay 5000$ a day for 3 months, anyone who thinks this is going to stand is an idiot

Really?

Edit: Yup. It's real.

>In light of Valve getting owned by France, just a reminder that Epic Game Store is simply a better application than Steam.
Didn't know you could resell ES games.

Turn off GPU accelerated rendering in the interface settings
That fixed it for me

Hilarious

>Epic
>Major competitor
I laffed

Gay

>The France ruling is so fucking moronic.
>I hope Valve just ignores this shit and tanks the fine
Congratulation, you figured out what this law is about.
My country have done this countless time, they'll pull this kind of "out of your ass" laws that are just too difficult/lengthy to setup because they know big companies will rather pay the fine than accomodate the impossible.

Assuming they pay the fine, what happens afterwards? Shouldn't digital distributors still be required to change something? They can just continue to be "illegal"?

Literally true, steam needs like 40 seconds to fucking start egs like 5

>unavailible
Who wrote this?

>Thinking Epic isn't going to be hit with the exact same lawsuit.

Not Reddit spyware.neocities.org/articles/

WTF I just installed EGS for the free games and my antivirus started going CRAZY

>neocities
Ell oh ell.

It's not like Epic allows you to sell the game licenses you buy neither. While I appreciate that Steam has competition your point is pretty moot and it makes you look like you're grasping at straws. You're doing the opposite of what you want to do.

Ding dong diddly

So is dauntless actually good? I played it for about an hour and I just kept thinking "Why am I not just playing MHW instead"

Attached: 1555786729449.jpg (1100x1556, 216K)

>And what's stopping people from making games like Greedfall?
Because it's unprofitable when retarded consumerists will resale their game

Unironically why are some of you arguing for the right of big corperations to violate your rights as a consumer and just do whatever they want with products you bought after you've paid them? I'm not even memeing, I honestly can't wrap my head around why you would be pro-loopholes that screw you over as a consumer

tbf Steam's overlay needs work. Especially the browsers, for guides and the internet. Laggy as fucking shit and sometimes it just goes pitch black, every window including friends, chat and all.

You don't buy the products, this is made extremely clear in the terms of agreement.

If you are a complete fucking retard who didn't know that, you deserve to be scammed.

>the amount of times you have to refresh the store, or delete your client blob, or restart the application
Holy shit it's the reverse of "WORKS ON MY MACHINE"

Chinese communist party really bought titter bots to retweet for Epic.

Lmao

You purchase a license to use the product.

France is just stating that that license has to be able to be resold and that it's the store's responsibility to make it so.

>screw you over as a consumer
How exactly?
