Are those 10 hours fun? And how much fun are they? Would rather have a short game that’s enjoyable than shit off the assembly line
its Zelda so prolly not very fun

Attached: 2EFCAE28-01A3-4BC2-A5FD-15583583FC97.jpg (728x976, 161K)

probably more like 15 if you take your time, explore etc. still i would not pay 60 for this. fortunately my roommate is buying it so i will play it for free

Fuck off back to twitch, you desperately needy fuck. Why don’t you pay your streamer if you want attention.

No matter what people say about this, it looks way too much like a mobile game with generic western cartoon 3d you would see in portfolios or kid shows. It looks specially soulless in dungeons.

Honestly I'm sick of every fucking game being 40 hours long, I never finish them, they're always filled with tutorials and shitty filler that's a waste of time.

Quality>quantity

Super Metroid, the best game of all time, is like 3 hours long. Whats your point?

JUST

Cool, but it that's the case don't ask for fucking 60 bucks.

Games have never been priced based on how long they are. You know this.

It seems like soniers are really bored

I'm interested in it, the gameboy Zelda games were one of the first games I've ever played and I really enjoy them but man 60 dollars sounds way too steep.
Music sounds really nice though.
I think I would've preferred if they did an Oracle of Seasons and Ages 2 in 1 game instead.
In that case 60 bucks wouldn't sting as bad.

Attached: 1496285735142.jpg (605x1140, 102K)

how much was The Order again?

Fortnite has infinite playtime for zero dollars. Therefore it is the greatest game of all time.
Am I doing this right?

Nah, it's just BotW fags being mad that this Zelda game isn't comprised of nothing but hours of filler.

Basically all non shovelware SNES games were $60 and this was back in the early 90s, in fact some were $65 or $70 which is around $120 in 2019 dollars. Even the lower end games in the $40-50 range were much more expensive than a modern $60 game is. Take into account the fact that modern games have much larger budgets and higher production values. It's a damn miracle that games have for the most part stayed around the same nominal price for so long. Only thing they've had going for them is a powerful trend in terms of growing markets.

Sounds about right. Mario 3 and World retailed at about $59.99 each back in the day and could be finished in about an hour if you figured out precisely where to go. Where did the idea come out that there needed to be some magical "gameplay hours per dollar" ratio?

why don't they remake Mario Land, that game was like 40 minutes long

Well, if it leads to the Capcom trilogy getting a remake then yes, 60 is worth.

>I expect sixty hours for sixty dollars
This is why you end up with 900 moons in Mario Odyssey
Very, very few single player games are fun for more than twenty hours. While I do think digitally distributed games should not be priced above $40, a ten hour game is fine.

I'd day 1 preorder an OOS/OOA remake

Setting up my lawn chair for tendies and marketers trying to defend a full-priced port of a 26 year old GameBoy game.

>Capcom trilogy
Don't fill me with hope of them making Oracle of Hours

Attached: 1520545924044.jpg (332x362, 40K)

Nintendo is like Apple now a days
Overpriced shit products

When 40-60 hour experiences became the norm, along with super cheap indie games that commonly have 10-20 hour playtimes (and for roguelites it's near infinite).

That’s longer than most new AAA campaigns, what’s the problem

Oh no snoybros
We messed up

Attached: Screenshot_20190919-231704.png (1080x1920, 448K)

so when is the game gonna be available? I already have it preloaded

Overprices? Maybe
Shit? No chance bro

Technically with inflation they were about 80 USD, but people like think that 40-60 hour games with padded out leveling systems, map traversal, repeated levels, escort missions, and cut scenes make modern games better since they're longer.

Right. So before we get too far into complaining, how's the create-a-dungeon feature? Has anyone tried dissecting that?

>HUR DUR 10 HOURS IF YOU MEMORIZE EVERYTHING AND DONT TAKE A WRONG TURN
seek help

A 90min long movie costs $20.
A round of mini golf cost $25
A day at an amusement park cost $75
An indoor go kart race costs $60

It's odd the group of people that think it's okay for Nintendo to, for example, charge $50 for the ffx/2 port. Ps2 era games. They will defend ports from a failed console costing 50 to 60 bucks. They will reluctantly defend the shit online. They will bicker about pokemon but buy it anyway. Smash reveals are manchildren sperge fests. They think animal crossing is something worth being excited over. They willingly buy amiibos.

Nintendo fans are cancer. I owned a switch but it was the last Nintendo console I own until they cut the shit.

You know the average game is only like 5-8 hours long, right? And those are all $60.

>1:1 remake
why do nintendo games always receive this
i don't want to play around on the exact same map as before with no overhauls of terrain to better fit a console, i want that world reimagined to actually fit the >current year while still maintaining the themes of the old

Attached: 1394928812792.jpg (621x621, 293K)

That's why im going to rent it like i do for most of the switch games. I'm going for a 100% completion run then returning that shit so I can rent Deus Ex and astral chain next.

Attached: 1567696830163m.jpg (1024x563, 161K)

I didn't say they were better. I said they're the norm. I think the pressure to make playtimes longer is a huge problem, it makes AAA games way more bloated and tedious than they need to be. RPGs are great but not everything needs to have fucking RPG systems, exploration is great but not everything needs to be a huge open world.

>it was all a dream ending

fucking based nintendo

you know halfway through the game that it's a dream, but you still continue your adventure, and you start questioning yourself, if I complete my objective, will all the wonderful people that I met here disappear forever?

Every single time. You know good stuff user. I can’t agree more. But you know some of these kiss have Nothing else to do, so they have a lot of time to kill.

Nah it looks great

Yeah I'm not a faggot like OP

This game should have been 30 bux tops. Nintendo is fucking greedy as hell.

>A remake of a game is about as long as the original
Stop the fucking presses.

I'd rather have 10 hours of fun in 10 hours than 10 hours of fun spread across 40 hours.

$6/hr isn't bad if you're having a good time. Beats the movies

I think Im just gonna play Awakening DX on my portable emulator. It will probably be better too, sue me.

it's a remake of a gameboy game what did you fucking expect

RE2make was like 4 hours

You retards sound like those Americans that see a $100 meal being smaller than their upsized mega trash from some fast food joint they picked up for $10 plus tip.

>a remake of a game is ten times the price of the original
>doesn't actually add anything new

re2make also has a lot of replayability

Doubt

8, with two playthroughs so about 16 on the first runs. People did complain how short it was, though.

explain to me how 4 routes + 4th survivor mode is not a lot of replayability

Good thing I didn't buy that either. I'm waiting for a significant sale.

Sup, marketer. Do you have a work email I can send my resume to? I'm looking for extra cash, and I have no standards.

idc

youtube.com/watch?v=YWDtNaXWJOQ

It's streaming here, it drops to 30 frames when it can't do 60, it's really notorious and annoying, I now get what people were talking about. The plastic toy look is not something I would enjoy immediately.

The fuck? Wasn't the resident evil 2 remake only 40? Nintendo takes for granted all the little kids and man children who will scream until mommy buys this shit

It might be dropping way lower than 30, it's really choppy at times. Hope DF does a video.

The water looks really cool and stylized, Nintendo still got it, shame about the rest.

Attached: d5c1fc87-bf3b-420e-8ada-749fc07c6e2c.jpg (1280x720, 279K)

>10 hours

No damn way the shitty dungeon creator that already replaced another sidequest added 5 hours to the games length (This is 100% as well)

nope, nintendo is making nothing but low effort garbage for the switch which is why i havent bought one yet

>roommate
You mean your mom?

Did they keep the wind fish egg maze?

Did they keep the secret color dungeons from the DX version?

>are you cool with that, Yea Forums?
I don't equate hours played with dollars paid so yes

This mentality just speaks to a complete lack of respect for the medium, and indirectly implies you do not value your own, limited time.

You want a video game to last as long as it possibly can so that it's "worth the money"
So it doesn't matter what the content of the game actually is? You'd rather have 500 hours of a shallow nothing game than a 5-hour, carefully-crafted experience you'll remember for significantly longer?

Sly 2: Band of Thieves is one of my favorite games of all time, and it's like 12 hours long at best.
But it's a product of extreme passion and skill from the development team, and an experience I've carried with me for over a decade.
Comparatively, how many shallow, bland, 100+ hour games with cookiecutter copypasta content have come and gone, taking just as much money as the games you DO remember, while not deserving it nearly as much?

Life is far too short to spend it playing mediocre time-wasters.

>hurr durr minecraft never ends and it's only $20

Xenoblade 1 is coming next year and the reveal trailer basically confirmed they were adding cut content

ALBW was basically a remix of ALTTP and it was great

Based essay shillposter. Do you get paid by the word? Genuinely curious, because I can write some real doorstoppers.

>ALBW
Was great at times but it already suffered from the Playmobil visuals and it was too easy, straight forward. Minish Cap now that's a game.

Attached: Screenshot_2016-02-19__2_11_PM.0.jpg (400x265, 50K)

>Link's Awakening was 6 dollars on release

Attached: giphy-3.gif (450x250, 1.54M)

>words bad, make small post for small brain
OK fag

No, I really want to know.

>lighting bugs
>literally nothing can be seen that isn't static unrendered materials

And people blasted the shit out of that. But it's okay when Nintendo does it.

I played minish cap for the first time in years recently, it was way worse than I remember

Resident Evil 7, Until Dawn, The Order 1886
>All less than 10 hours
>All Cost $60
The Order also had subpar gameplay and RE7 had additional paid DLC.

I played it a couple of years back for the first time and I really enjoyed it, to me it was the best Zelda since ALTTP. Everyone has their own idea of what a Zelda game should be.

>Super mario bros is 4 minutes game
>It costs 45 bucks back then

>that think it's okay for Nintendo to, for example, charge $50 for the ffx/2 port
>Nintendo
>Final Fantasy
mega retard

Just say parents, no one cares

If they didn't make the plants and trees plastic looking and gave Link proper eyes it would make the whole style more palatable. Wonder who came up with that idea to make them look like soft plastic toys. The frame dropping is really bad, even in the "2D" parts it slugs.

Attached: 3542486-zelda 5.jpg (1280x727, 813K)

How long we're people expecting the remake of a Gameboy game to be?

Attached: 1568239679112.png (522x460, 217K)

the fact that it already boots up is impressive

considering most modern games are like 5 hours, yes.

>thinking 60 bucks is a lot

Holy fuck I love not being poor.

The remake of an old game has a similar playtime as the original game? Who could have foreseen such an outrageous thing?

don't worry, they put a bunch of leaf turds across the map so that Yea Forums can spend hours looking for them

Actual rich people pirate everything, because they know they're untouchable and can have everything they want for nothing. Sorry, new-money ape.

The dude fucking sucks at playing. The game is at most 4-5 hours max. Maybe 6-7 hours if you want to 100% everything.

Link's Awakening DX is $5.99 on the 3DS eShop

>A 90min long movie costs $20.
>A round of mini golf cost $25

Where the fuck do you live? A movie costs $8. A round of mini golf costs $15. $20 if you don't own your own club and balls.

>are you cool with that, Yea Forums?
yeah I payed full price for MGR

Wow, definitely paying $60 + tax + tip for the water!

SAUCE NOW

Why do you assume most people are speedrunners?

Attached: 1540911523754.gif (170x207, 80K)

why don't they remake an actual good Zelda game?

Attached: 234234.jpg (474x266, 26K)

Not speedrunners. He plays the game like I would do if I were 7-8. Running around like a retard, not knowing how the map works, dying, fighting terribly, getting lost.

And flood the screen with blue neon like they do in every Zelda game now?

Attached: the-legend-of-zelda-the-wind-waker-hd-wii-u-1.jpg (685x405, 46K)

Good thing the target audience is kids. We are just here because we're nerds.

>play a game casually, just having fun
>run around doing nothing and dying a lot for giggles
>don't tryhard your way to the credits for anonymoose internet cred

I can't defend this game's price, but holy shit you're a sub-ape. Ask your doctor for evolution pills.

>haha lol I play Mario and I jump into pits of fire on purpose and I run backwards through the level after I grab the flower so I can kill all the goombas and koopas haha wow I am le epic true gamer hehe

there are plenty of games that are free and more fun that you could spend hundreds if not thousands of hours playing.
>TWEWYnigger
wait nvm, you'd be too stupid to play them

I'd just like to see a link to the past in modern graphics

Really wish they would crack down on your thieving niggers tbqh. I've never stolen anything in my life and I make more in a month than your entire garbage family does in a year faggot. Don't @ me nigger.

Maybe they will?

Attached: pink-link.jpg (590x350, 116K)

Shouldn't look much different than The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

Attached: zeldalinkbetweenworlds6_1.jpg (800x480, 94K)

Crash n sane trilogy is 3 remakes for 40 bucks. It's a fucking rip off

Nah, not for a GBC game with a facelift. Sucks because it looks like they put in a lot of work, and Links Awakening was a great game, but there isn’t a lot of replay value to it and it was kind of short (though not for the time). Wish they would have charged half the price for it, but oh well.

This is one time I can honestly say you're better off just playing the game on the original system in color. There's even hacks to try with varied quality, here's a link for the lazy anons romhacking.net/?page=hacks&genre=&platform=&game=884&category=&perpage=20&order=&dir=&title=&author=&hacksearch=Go if you really need a new take on it but it's better than this weird remake we got. I fear for the Oracle games, honestly.

Holy autism. Don't you ever just fire up san andreas and obey traffic laws for 3 hours? Or maybe just take your girl out for a bite to eat then climb mount chilead? Maybe you tryhard video games to feel better about shortcoming irl responsibilitys

Attached: proxy.duckduckgo.com.jpg (474x474, 39K)

DMC5 is 10hrs and $60, didnt stop it from being a great fucking game.

OPs art looks so much better than the actual toy set ingame island

YAAAAAAASS 60 DOLLARS FOR A GAMEBOY GAME THANK YOU NINTENDO!!!

Attached: 1566849856299.png (454x520, 11K)

I can't believe they learned nothing from this remake, walking around the village in LA and it's like I'm walking on radioactive waste.

Pic unrelated?

Yeah and Metroid is 3 hours.

Oh yikes. This is not based and very cringe.

>charging full price for a 10 hour experience
It’s okay when Nintendo does it, my ass.

Attached: 1543155584254.gif (348x248, 1.94M)

>do you ever just obey traffic laws, don't highjack cars, don't kill anyone, and don't buy prostitutes in GTA games and just be a standard law-abiding citizen for dozens of hours?

Maybe you're the one who has autism.

Attached: 1486864627001.webm (654x485, 2.08M)

Nintendo loves that blue neon ambient light.

>Maybe you're the one who has autism.

Probably lol but all of those activities you listed are examples of all the fun shit you can do in a good game. Obviously we can't capture the same toy like imagination we had when we were kids, but it's still fun to dick around and find our own amusement in games.

As if any of this whining is going to change the outcome. Will outsell many MANY games.

I get what you're saying but 10 hours is still pretty fucking short for 60 bucks. 20-30 at least, cmon...

Sadly you are 100% correct. Modern Game Devs are tallentless hacks that can't do shit right anymore.

What games do you play?

>comparing bargin bin crash to zelda
LOL

I love long games, but I do love well paced long games more. Filler Trash like needing so many hearts to keep from being vaporized by the Master Sword in BotW is the worst kind of artificial length shit a game can pull.

I thought they did for the 3ds

>10 hours
That will probably translate to 30 hours for me.
Still, I've played the original, so I'm not gonna play it. :\

Thats what albw was supposed to be, then they realized the dungeons were shit, so they just kept the overworld and changed the story.

How to justify the price tag:
Design a hard mode (2nd quest) with different dungeons and slightly altered overworld
See Nintendo, that wasn't so hard

they did
