Financially? A hit. The base game is a miss for me in terms of main story but if I count the expansions it's definitely good overall.

Witcher 2 was a mess but to be fair it was their first 7th gen game and they had to make due with their limited budget and resources since 7th gen is when everything spiked in price and programming needs.
