So I said fuck it and experimented and god Sekiro for PC. That shit runs on all HIGH without a hitch. My PC cost way less than my XBOX.

Nah xbox live on og xbox was worth the price. Cant hold that against them when they had the best online by a mile. They were also selling the most powerful console on the market at a loss. Anyone who thinks Microsoft is the sole reason Microtransactions exist is a retard. And secondly not everyone wants to go out and buy a PC for gaming. Did you ever think about that at all, oh who am I kidding of course not. If your statement is "why not buy a PC" then why not buy a PC instead of a PS4. PS4 exclusives are mediocre at best and only one managed to sell over 10m units on a system with an install base of 100m. Every other game is on PC aswell as Xbox. So why bother even buying a console at all?

I'm 36. Ps2 has a lot of games. Still have mine with a ton of games loaded on the hdd. It was still weak as fuck compared to xbox and not having the built in hdd or ethernet put the gate? Pathetic. Online was atrocious too. I had to have xbox on party chat playing ffxi on ps2 with my friends.

not gonna lie I still sometimes boot up the PS2 and i love it to death and I grew up with it, and it's the console i've probably played most in my life. BUT you can't pretend it's online was any good in 2002 compared to fuckin Xbox Live. PS2 online was more like a myth that you could just barely sometimes access.
PS2 was mostly singleplayer games, online wasn't a thing for it.

I think if they made online mp free it would be a cool step. I can't see this happening ever but if they can give gold other benefits or something and make mp free that would absolve a lot of hate

MS can recover from their faults in the 8th gen just like Nintendo did from WiiU to Switch. All MS has to do is wait for Sony to fuck up with the PS5 since Sony is becoming arrogant like they were back in the late PS2 days.

Xbox is for normalfags that can't into PC gaming. And I use Xbone for Titanfall 2 and console version of PC games that gets Denuvo'd i.e. Soul Calibur 6, Nier Automata, Code Vein. I'll might get the next Xbox but maybe when the newer upgrade models comes out.

It's not gonna happen. Sony plays it way to safe nowadays. Plus they have an Apple like fanbase that wont fault them for anything now. MS at best should just sit comfortably in 3rd place and keep doing what they're doing with Gamepass.
Microsoft's current problem is their lack of exclusives that can entice people to give a shit about Xbox. They have had hit that sweet spot with the the original Xbox and Xbox 360 era, but they didn't do so much with the Xbox One. They have made attempts with Rareware pumping out games such as Viva Piñata and Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. Say what you will but they were objectively decent games, however they weren't really a Smash Hit. Sadly because of that fact Rare were reduced to making shovelware Kinect games. Same can be said for the Xbox One games. If anything the Xbox one was just a really fancy Xbox 360. Their biggest flagship titles like Cuphead and Ori for the Xbox One have been ported to the Switch.
What they could do is announce something that could catch people's eyes such as idk a new Banjo and Kazooie game for their Xbox Scarlett. Then again that could also just get a switch port just to justify Banjo Kazooie's inclusion in Smash from a business perspective. Unless they come up with something that could get people real "Oh shit I gotta have that", the only thing MS truly has going for them right now is that new Halo game.
What Ms started these things but were abused by companies like Sony ea Ubisoft. Age of empires dlcs for example were good.
