The reality is that Yea Forums doesn't really talk about games where there's nothing to shitpost over. The game looks good and it'll probably be the best Switch game all year.
Brayden Perez
>8-player heyyy spam
Julian Rodriguez
>How come Astral Chain, FE and Links Awakening Because they're all out/Zelda leaked days ago so people can play the game and talk about it. Give it about 5 weeks and the game will probably have leaked.
Juan Miller
*confused Luigi noises*
Caleb Gray
I am really happy that next level survived federation force, they are hosntley one of my favourite devs, strikers charged and punch out are fantastic.
>survived federation force really wasn't a bad game. really. 3DS finally got a competent first person shooter, and the online co-oping was fun. If only the Samus Returns remake came out first...
Josiah Bell
Daisy should be in this game.
Brody Howard
Eh, I'd prefer a ghost waif for Luigi
Leo Diaz
i'll show ya a ghost waif once i force my shaft down yer throat m8
people will probably talk about the game more closer to release
and yes, there is literally nothing to shitpost about. The devs literally seemed to answer all the criticisms dark moon got
Ian Hernandez
Apparently there is going to paid dlc for the scarescraper and screampark modes Hopefully that means new towers and enemies and such
Austin Thomas
That’s definitely next level games specialty
Colton Ramirez
Pretty fucking lame move when they specifically stated the game wasn’t getting DLC earlier on. I can sense the Nintendo DLC shoehorning from miles away. It’d be nice if just once they could let developers finish their fucking game.
Ayden Rogers
All those games are out, LM3 isn't
Liam Sullivan
I thought they specifically said they werent planning DLC for this game, where'd you hear that?
Juan Richardson
>but arguably the best looking Switch game cant? because LM is for people who actually play video games and the majority of shitposters on Yea Forums do not
Luis Hernandez
Luigi's Mansion 3 is the first title I'm super looking forward to on the Switch since Odyssey; I'm especially pleased that we even have more of a nod to the original game's character stylization. Next Level really did take their Dark Moon criticisms to heart, it seems. I don't think most people have an issue with Federation Force itself anymore. It was just brought out at the absolute worst time possible and Nintendo were complete dicks about advertising it.
>luigismansion.nintendo.com/ >Paid DLC will come to Luigi's Mansion 3 in the future, adding new content to the ScareScraper and ScreamPark multiplayer modes.
Eli Gonzalez
>8-player Mario? spam
Charles Torres
There's nothing to talk about until the game comes out. Then everyone will agree the game it's solid and the threads will derail into memes and lewds.
Thomas Gray
Think it was a bad call to plan it's release the day of Halloween. I like playing my spooky themed games the whole month before the actual day. It's going to be immediately out of season the next day.
>What are you most excited for Just Luigi himself being an endearing character. Dark Moon might have been lame in a gameplay perspective but in terms of personality and plot it manages to outshine the origonal.
Having the first games mechanics and potrait ghosts while having the improved writing on DM makes me really optomistic.
Charles Reyes
Does Luigi hum in this game? If not I'm skipping it.
Levi Diaz
The pirate ship floor is going to be kino
Brayden Kelly
Unique just like in LM1
Ethan Bennett
Huh thats interesting then. Not sure what else they can add to the modes really. More minigames for Scream Park and more floors for ScareScraper?
>really wasn't a bad game. really. no, it was terrible
stop trying to rewrite history, the whole thing was a clusterfuck through and through but next level games did what they could, they're not really the ones responsible they were dealt an incredibly shitty hand
Aaron Jenkins
>Dark Moon might have been lame in a gameplay perspective dark moon's gameplay was far superior to the first game's
Jace Powell
This, I’m sick of the original being put on an undeserved pedestal by GCbabs that played the game when they were really young. It’s a neat game, but Dark Moon outdoes it in a lot of areas. LM3 gets the best of both worlds as it won’t have Dark Moon’s handheld limitations or the original’s short length and rather shallow combat.
Lucas Hernandez
I'm definitely interested in Luigi's Mansion 3 and I'm glad it'll come on Halloween
Wyatt Wood
What is he doing to that poor ghost?
Aiden Roberts
I wonder how many floors there will be. Do you guys expect the game to be rather lengthy? At least the lengthiest LM game I hope, they have been working on it since the Wii U days after all.
David Allen
>”Good Job!”
Connor Phillips
We already know there’ll be 17 floors.
Juan Young
Some images from when luigi gets into an elevator made it seem like there were quite a few floors. How big these floors are is the big question.
Levi Parker
We know the number of floors, but we don't know how big the floors are since they can be anything from regular rooms to a full restaurant to an entire pyramid.
Matthew Reed
Considering the reason they appear frequently on Yea Forums, that might be a good thing.
Bentley Diaz
Do you guys think there will be backtracking between the floors like in LM 1?
Henry Phillips
Interesting just like in LM3
Ian Brown
Even if each floor is only an hour or so long, it will still be the longest Luigi's mansion game by far since theres 17 of them.
Then you factor in the collectable gems, getting high scores with the money and multiplayer modes, should be plenty of playtime.
Nolan Bennett
Honestly, you're right in many ways and I should've been more clear. DM has far better puzzles so by that alone gameplay should theoritically be better.
I think what I should've said was pacing and intrigue. Game feels bad because it constantly forces you to go back E.Gadd and much of the mansion and missions feel samey and repetative.
It's why I'm not remotly intrested in the new multiplayer.
Carson Williams
Would be totally fine with hour long floors if there is 17. Doesn't overstay its welcome, can use that time to fully flesh out the floor idea to its fullest and then your on to the next one. Its gonna be a great game for variety especially with how different every floor weve seen is.
Michael Walker
Seriously, why is he so angry? I know he's been beaten twice but Bowser gets his ass kicked daily and he's fine. There's a possibility that King Boo was really close at being very powerful until Luigi showed up twice, but taking over a few mansions doesn't seem like a large accomplishment. Unless the LM series takes place in a world where Bowser was actually killed, causing King Boo to go apeshit over his friend(?) being dead, I don't see why he's so pissed at Luigi.
Scarescraper is a lot of fun, simple but engaging.
Carter Cook
>Bowser gets his ass kicked daily and he's fine Nah, Bowser is seething everytime he hears about the Bros
Asher Sanders
There's a difference between someone stealing their girlfriend back from you and from being shoved into a fucking painting. Boo has all right to be fucking nuclear at Luigi.
Liam Hall
I hope they have some artwork of king boo that shows him super angry You know, as a continuation of the dark moon one
Diffrent personalities and tone. Pissed of King Boo looks rad.
John Cooper
Luigi's Mansion is unironically the worst Nintendo franchise there is. Fuck that shitty, easy, boring series. I literally feel like a baby playing Luigi's Mansion and no other nintendo game gives me that feeling.
Jackson Morgan
Shit bait
Michael Butler
I'm not baiting though. You literally walk around a house slow as fuck, flash a ghost, and then hold down A and suck them into the vacuum. Wow, such engaging gameplay.
It's "fun" if you like watching cute animations of luigi getting spooked by some moving armor or something. Otherwise, not really. I would rather play pretty much any other Switch exclusive.
Kayden Price
Scarecraper on hard can actually get pretty difficult on the higher floors, but other than that luigis mansion is more about exploring rooms filled with trinkets and solving puzzles than the combat.
David Johnson
Seems like it. Maybe this means the online is more fleshed out compared to LM2.
Carter Sanders
Definitely one of my most anticipated games of the year. Nintendo's shat the bed with some of their current and upcoming exclusives (POKEMON) but I'm glad they can still consistently put out games that make me want to play the Switch. Biggest reason why I prefer them to Sony and Microsoft.
Julian Gutierrez
Nintendo doesn't make Pokemon
Aaron Rodriguez
The biggest flaw I have with DM is the mission style it has. If DMs levels were all connected like the mansion in 1 I probably would have liked it a lot more. Which is exactly why I'm looking forward to 3.
Oliver Foster
I just mean the Switch exclusives that Nintendo has been publishing. It isn't a coincidence, though, that most of Switch's first party exclusives have been excellent but SwSh will be shit, considering that Game Freak is making it. Makes me wonder what a new Pokemon game would be like without that shitty developer.
Jason Hill
Dark Moon was pretty great aside from that. Solid mansions, good bosses, great final boss. It's just the mission structure that holds it down.
Ayden Rogers
Ghosts in the sequels are so boring
Cameron Gutierrez
There has been one sequel and yeah the ghost bosses were kinda lame bur thats not the case in 3.
Dominic Powell
Thia game looks fun as fuck. I've never played luigis mansion before: is it like a mario game which is still fun for adults, or is it like a Toad or Lego game which is only fun for babies?
Cameron Butler
Treasure Tracker was great though, user.
Grayson Reyes
they don't make luigi's mansion either
the only first party exclusives made by nintendo this year are mario maker 2 and ring fit adventure
Zachary Gray
it's an action adventure game with its own identity compared to zelda and metroid, a lot of the fun comes from trying to interact with everything in the environments to solve light puzzles and find secrets, it's kind of reminiscent of old school point and click adventures
it's not very complex or challenging but it's pretty unique and I personally love it, it's not newborn stuff like yoshi or kirby
Christopher Garcia
>the only first party exclusives made by nintendo this year are mario maker 2 and ring fit adventure really makes you think
Cooper Bell
they also did fuck all in 2018
next year should have two big games with animal crossing and botw 2 at least
Juan Flores
>Secret basement floor.
Grayson Parker
I mean Nintendo still helps its internal studios with supervision and direction., and Next Level is still first party, same as Retro.
Jose Williams
Are portrait ghosts in again? That's all I want.
Anthony Lewis
Not "portrait ghosts" in the sense that you are putting them in painting but they are pretty much back yeah.
Brody Myers
There are unique ghosts yes
Matthew Rogers
Thank god, that was LM1's selling point in my opinion.
Parker Wilson
Yes and no. Doesn’t seem like you’ll get ranked on them but each of the 17 floors seems to have a boss designed like a portrait ghost.
next level is independant like platinum games, retro is fully owned by nintendo
Robert Hernandez
it's still a month until release. But yeah it's easily the best looking game on the Switch. Nintendo has been pretty buddybuddy with Universal Studios since the park deal and I heard they got a deal to havem teach their internal studios one thing or two about animation. Apparently Next Level Games is putting alot of that into Luigi's animations
Jack Miller
Why is Nintendo so SHITTY that they allow regional accounts to post unique content about certain games. I was really hoping they would stop doing this shit with Bowser in charge.
