I went to the Protomen short film showing and asked if they would ever collaborate on something with the Megas. They said that the Megas were way too talented and were shy about asking to work together with them. Too wholesome for me.

Sakurai's music team confirmed to have shit Mega Man music tastes.

I think the problem was Sakurai's music team putting too much focus on the first 3 (Was stated that they had the most fun making the Castlevania/Mega Man music, which is why they made so much for each). It just came off as nostalgia bias and does not give the series justice at all.
