Asura thread

That's dumb. You got mechs and werewolves and burly cat monsters with bazookas, and people expect you not to use any of that stuff?

Mmm sexy yodas these are, masturbate in public I shall

Race skills are worse than profession skills. They're intentionally made this way so you don't level a character to 80 only to find out you picked the wrong race.
You can do whatever you want in open world, though.

He's lying. It's one of the most meta-free games in existence, and there are tons of guilds that raid with non-meta builds because people in-game are actually chill as fuck and there is a massive amount of flexibility with what's viable. Unless you're an absolute pugtard and cannot group in the friendliest MMO of all time, but in that case you are probably part of the problem and should give up on doing anything social.

That's one of the reasons I hate GW2. All the multiplayer stuff is so elitist. I guess they are right in a way if you want to be autistic about maxing DPS. But it's just so boring playing to a formula.
Holding down 1 and occaisionally pressing other numbers until a big dumb boss is dead. They tried to make it more interesting in recent years by adding annoying AOE stuff you have to avoid.

I'm not lying, this is my experience of the game. Many times I try to join a party and they say "we don't want a thief" and kick you. And if your DPS isn't good enough they kick you because you didn't follow the meta to get the highest DPS possible.

It's only raids and CM's that are like that. Even T4 fractal groups might let you slide with bringing some weak shit.

Yeah I did fractals a few times, but they can be a drag. I can't even appreciate any semblence of story they seem to have because every other player expects this to be your 100th time and doesn't want to wait for you to read or watch anything.
Nobody is ever chill in this game. Even the ERP is tryhard. People even pretend to be AFK while standing in eye catching places just so they can show off their character.

Dialogue is unskippable in fractals, so I don't know what you're on about

What? No, there's cutscenes and NPCs you can talk to, and dialogue to listen to until you move to the next section.
