I usually send two snipers to that mission, and have them sit in that guard tower in the fish market. I then use someone who has a really high move speed, like an assault or something, and use them to hit the transponder. The others, I'll position outside of the bottom floors of the ship to kill anything that moves inside.

Once the air strike comes, I'll have everyone who isn't a sniper start booking it to the dropship, while the snipers cover them. Once The bottom team is up to the second floor, and the transponder person reaches them, I'll start having the snipers start moving back to the dropship as well. The rest of the team usually beats the snipers back, but by that time, there will usually be a ton of bugs spawned, so the rest of the team can cover the snipers as they make their way back.

Thought so.

This dude is the absolute best soldier I've ever had across all my playthroughs of XCOM and XCOM 2, he was from a beta campaign of Long Dong, b14 or 15, and he never missed an Overwatch shot. Even at 56% against an Ethereal that was going to do something to my Volunteer, he made sure to hit and even crit.

I had a Heavy like that in one of my runs. An Argentinian named Humberto "Papa Bear" Torres. Lost him when I converted the game over to Long War. God I fucking miss him.

>Random pool of characters gives me pink short shorts and pink open vest Mexican with the stereotype gay mustache like the dude from Family Guy
>Named Ricardo
>Ricardo was made into Melee specialist and always did suicide runs
>Ricardo never once got shot at or focus fired
>Every Overwatch missed him
>Didn't die since he was supposed to be a Fill in when one of my other dudes was injured.

I have never been hit by Hunter Chosen's aimed shot move, y'know the one where he spends a turn aiming? Sure it's easy as hell in most circumstances to get out of the way, but I mean there have been times where I didn't move my guys or even hunker down and the dude still misses.

>my version of Ivanov and Humberto is an Israeli sniper
>no matter how hard I try to kill her, she always wins and comes out unscathed
>just want her to die in the worst way possible, but she's immortal

Truly, they are God's chosen.
