Litchi wasn't really stupid? She was actually quite intelligent, at least academically. Her issue was her obsession and her emotions. Logically pretty much the entire world was telling her to stand down and give her crazy Mission a rest before she hurts someone. But she just wouldn't stop because she's just so emotional and Laser focused on true love now she can't stop and realize that she's causing more harm than good. And by the end she had a hand in probably the greatest loss of life in history. Only for her to find her true love just for him to tell her that he doesn't give a shit about her.

For the heroes I'd say Ragna, Noel, Rachel, Kokonoe, and sort of Jin but not really are the central cast members. For the villains it's Hazama, Relius, and Izanami that actually matter. Bullet is basically an object no one even remembers exists. Azreal doesn't exactly matter but he's fun so it's fine.

But yes Blazblue's script needs an editor with a blowtorch.

They're just the more down-to-earth of the cast. Just a giant, a weeaboo, and a robot girl on a road trip doing science together with an angry cat lady barking orders on the phone.

Tsubaki needed more time in the oven. She's a good character concept. Someone so obsessed with Justice that she literally becomes blind. Which ironically made her easier to control than anyone else in the cast. The only problem is that when she broke free she claimed that she was going to make her own Justice. But her own justice is basically whatever Jin is doing. Her primary motivation is Jin's dick.

She ended up being pretty shit and carried by Imai and being the default "modest girl."

The thing that makes Litchi's story so dumb is that we aren't shown anything that really ties her to Roy that much. Like, they were friendly with each other but not much past that. Roy never was shown to have anything even remotely close to romantic feelings toward Litchi and if anything, he was far more interested in impressing Kokonoe than anything Litchi had going on. But someone he's her one true love that she's willing to destroy the world to save.
I can only assume that she got mindfucked by the boundary but to a smaller degree than Roy.

Litchi, knowingly, gave Relius the formula that would allow Izanami to instantly disintegrate all but the absolute strongest humans and instantly turn them into seithr to be weaponized. She's responsible for the death of literal millions. All for the chance that whatever new world Relius might make would involve her getting cummies from a guy who never even gave a shit about her. What kind of person slaughters an uncountable amount of people for dick?

My biggest regret was getting Mori to draw me Litchi.
