How do we fix the Hitman series?

How do we fix the Hitman series?

Attached: Hitman (2016).png (375x520, 106K)

Isn't it really good right now? The only complaint I hear about is the missions that disappear after awhile, I'd hope they'd just release them later in a pack or something where's fucking Freedom Fighters 2

Make him black

Remove the markers for the special opportunities, and in fact at least half of the opportunities can be removed. Besides that there's not much else that needs to be done besides minor stuff like bringing back the dual ballers. And since you can ignore those opportunities if you want the game is near perfect anyway.
Faggots complaining about the "Le John Wick" high end locations seem to forget that there's been a coastal town with a church, a para military survivalist base, an american suburb and mumbai. So don't listen to those fucking idiots. The series is as good as it was during BM.

>people watch blacked.com "for the cinematography"
>vixens and tushy use the same lightning and shit

Attached: 9d5.png (2688x2688, 173K)

Release Season 3 and turn the always online shit off.

It's not so much Hitman as it is I0 Software. Make the full game offline only if it does not include multiplayer.

>vixens and tushy use the same lightning and shit
Common sense. Production values would improve the entire industry.

Remove the handholdy elements like opportunity popups, mission markers and instinct. Or at least disable by default and hide those options in assist mode settings or something like Celeste.

Add airport, prison and ski center levels.

Make contracts a lot more customizable with npc/item placement, area outfit rules and routes. Doesn't even need to be all that in-depth just something more than pick a target and weapon. Fuck even dictating what items you're allowed to bring to a contract and where you start would be good.

>2019

I just like black dicks what can I say

Why are you talking about this shit in a hitman thread?

Attached: cat_computer.jpg (450x311, 38K)

Why watch when scat exists? May as well go for a turd log when one already looks like it

Absolution 2

Unironically this
Absolution was better than HITMAN and HITMAN 2

I like you, 100% agree

>Add airport, prison and ski center levels.

Kino choices OP. However, if they are made on nu-Hitman style, they would need to be very big rather than just a contained single mission in a single locale like old hitman games, otherwise it would be too small and short like the Bank DLC. for example, a Ski resort mission would also require a local small resort town, an alpine hike path, restaurant that caters to skiers, a hotel, etc. Within one mission, otherwise it would be too small for nu-Hitman style.

weak bait desu.

Not saying Absolution was a bad game, but it was a straight up Splinter Cell game, had nothing that makes Hitman actually a Hitman game. If you want that stuff, then you should ask for a splinter cell sequel, not a Hitman sequel.

Prison level would actually be cool, having to juggle between disguising as a guard and a prisoner.

Absolution was unironically great. People who criticised it for its disguise mechanics, checkpoints and instinct are just shitters who played the game wrong. But it is very different from other Hitman games so I can see why people didn't like it.

Saw a bald white guy, though this was /pol/

I never watched blacked but I did like the lighting. That's why I was glad when TushyRaw became a thing.

Hitman Absolution is a Splinter Cell game disguised as a Hitman game. If it was called Splinter Cell it would be good. But it lacks everything that makes the Hitman games unique and is the opposite of what you'd be looking for in a Hitman game.

Its a good game, its just not a good HITMAN game

I don't really care what series the game belongs to but Absolution was bad. I don't like games where player action is that heavily directed for cinematics. This is why I despised Max Payne 3.

>Absolution
>bad

by bringing back Jesper

Return to the Blood Money form, tell a compelling story, make maps that fit well together, and make fun something naturally there.

Current games are cashgrabbing sandbox levels trying to keep you coming back endlessly to play the same few levels over and over again, but what's wrong with having a 10 hour game with closure?

this
I also want a mall, Cathedral (Vatican would be cool), Mosque, and a synagogue. Cruiseship at sea would be neat as well.
How about a hospital/mental asylum?
Pic related would be fun too.
SHit. So many cool potential locations bras.

Attached: funfair.png (1000x562, 1.06M)

>Remove the markers for the special opportunities
But that's already in the game

No it's an option, it just shouldn't be there at all, or at least it should be off by default.

>playing Hitman for the story
Blood Money was mediocre in all other aspects

>Be IO
>No money
>Decide to become a gacha company
>Shit out the same game twice while offering small DLC packages through a release roster
>Overly directed towards fun but undercutting the actual game entirely
>Probably already working on making a third gacha game in the same trend
Imagine having to be a developer making this garbage, I feel so bad for them.

Hitman has a story?

>bras
you mean brahs?

Hitman: Contracts 2

yes
Thanks

It's pretty good right now but I wish they did darker settings for levels and had a darker atmosphere in general

how the fuck do you complete patient zero

>>tfw I like blacked because I like the contrast between black dicks and little pale girls
people really come up with shit like this to justify their cuck fetish

It's true, it's also why I'm in love with cute girls doing edgy things.

Attached: wadanohara.png (636x480, 46K)

you make them like the first two Hitman games when you screwed up you screwed it up

keep an eye out for the first person that spreads the infection, kill them before it gets out of hand

i hate niggers but i like blacked

I liked it just fine and other than the new Hitman 2 I've played every hitman to date. Is the new Hitman 2 bad? I though I heard it was more of the same from the new Hitman 1

The levels are bigger than 2016, that's both a good and bad thing depending on how you look at it, because there are massive sections of levels that won't be used even through multiple playthroughs. Also they added in a camera view that showed you where bodies were found and other stuff which is really dumb in my opinion.

people who needs hand holding usually don't bother with checking the options menu at all. They probably don't want to scare new players off, hence why the experienced players can customize their game for themselves

Attached: Hitman Super-Resolution 2019.09.05 - 21.45.29.49.jpg (1920x1080, 189K)

we're going home...

Bring back Jasper and remove always online

They could have asked if you want to turn easy mode on when you choose a map. I mean they basically do that anyway, just add another difficulty mode that has all that shit enabled.

sure, I mean I don't really care how it's handled as long as the option is there, they could probably patch it in if enough people asked

So if I got the normal version, does the expansion pass come with all the silver/gold stuff? Because there doesn't seem to be a plain "gold upgrade" item except for the one that upgrades from silver.

>The Cashmerian suit is finally a fucking unlockable

Based IO

What assists does everyone use when playing?
For my first playthrough of a level I turn all off them off execpt enforcer icons, and the silent assassin indicator then play through like that until I'm able to get silent assassin, sniper assassin, SASO, and work out all the oppertunites blind, then I turn it all back on to do challenges so I can get 100% completion for the mission.

Attached: Aitman Hgent 46.jpg (680x478, 38K)

yes, the expansion pass is the same as gold edition as far as i can tell.
but they also said on their livestream that they are gonna update that page to list exactly what you get with the expansion pass, as soon as the last content drops later this month

I wonder if emetic grenade means that people would just puke on the spot or go to the same bathroom to puke together

The nu-Hitman games are great, but they need to get rid of the """elusive""" part in the elusive targets. Just bring them out at the same schedule but dont cycle through them. Just have them out forever.
If you want to keep the meme highscore shit, just have only the first two weeks count

I want more missions like Patient Zero Hokkaido.

>If you want to keep the meme highscore shit

Why even bother? There are cheaters that destroy the score anyway on ALL platforms.

>go back to Contracts gritty setting, fuck this pseudo bond shit
>go back to classic detection meter instead of psychic people with dots above their head
>fix shooting
>more system based interactions
>instead of opportunities just give player notes that he can use organically
>money system that lets you use money for upgrades, different starts, smuggling gear into different spots, additional mission info, additional opportunities etc.

So I have to download the first game
Click redeem legacy collection
THEN download 2
Then download hitman 1 for 2 for it to be in one big package
Fucking hell

Because that's what OP wanted with his pic

if you play on a console yeah

Attached: 1300044776986.jpg (600x600, 35K)

also forgot:
>convert animation system into AI based a'la euphoria wth complex simulation of organs/nervous system

I'm on PC. Just assumed it was that way on PC too.

>people would just puke on the spot
that will make emetic grenade useless
>go to the same bathroom to puke together
this is unrealistic

oh, in that case you only have to download 2 and start the game once, after that it will download the legacy pack automatically

Is 47 unironically the most /fa/ vidya protagonist of all time?

Attached: da168bcb9003da3f4b8466299d675f4fc40b0372_2_329x500.png (329x500, 58K)

I always found the Hitman games to be very rigid: on paper they strive to be player-driven simulations but in reality everything is conveniently set up by the developers as a series of contextual interactions like "press x to make chandelier fall on top of target", pretty much everything is scripted and waiting for the targets to go through the same routine every time gets boring. I think moving to a more physics based simulation in which the "opportunities" have to be set up autonomously by the player would be a great improvement.
Also there's a lot of room for improvement in terms of player feedback and sound design, they could make it easier to pinpoint guards without relying so much on ui elements and hud.

>People who criticised it for its disguise mechanics, checkpoints and instinct are just shitters who played the game wrong.

Nice non-argument.

Fully open world, RPG elements, melee combat from witcher, ubisoft towers, strong female protag, Diana turning out to be mtf tranny

which they do
its called normal
they dont want to called it Easy because it will hurt their customers feeling

I really want a giant supermarket level complete with deli slicer opportunity

DERAIL
I AM THREAD DERAILING GUY
CHECKING MY DIGITS
AND THE THREAD STARTS TO DIE

The only digit that matters is this 5.

Make the AI not retarded.
Seriously. The security team member got picked out one by one but there is no alert status. Secondly, the target that they are supposed to be protecting is dead but AI just treat the situation like normal.

Remove shitty always online DRM.

Played by Idris Elba.
Wait no don't. That man needs more speaking roles. Seriously it's like every character he plays just says one word or two.

I want a Hitman game, but designed specifically for making contracts like Absolution. Sending levels to my friends was so fucking fun. I'm glad Mario Maker is slowly reviving that sort of game.

47 talks a lot more in the new games. Some people hate it but I enjoy his dialogue, and if you're going to hire an expensive actor to voice a character you should at least give them lots of lines

47 will always be a stoic and tragic character, not the wisecracking parody that they made him out to be in these sõymañ gacha titles.

>sõymañ gacha
what is wrong with you

The only game where 47 approaches tragedy as a a character is Silent Assassin, which is also the same game where you can run around in a ninja outfit slicing people with a katana in the middle of a pagoda

>gacha

Attached: 1387126823534.jpg (479x358, 26K)

47 is only stoic in his personal life. Him talking is just part of the disguise

Get rid of the always online bullshit.

nu-Hitman is basically a reboot of the series, don't think of it as a continuation of the past Hitman character and story. His face barely even looks the same, they just kept the same voice actor.

Think of it more like Roger Moore was a camp and funny James Bond compared to Sean Connery's cool and stylish James Bond. Officially the same character™ and setting, but completely different persona.

>nu-Hitman is basically a reboot of the series, don't think of it as a continuation of the past Hitman character and story
but that is literally incorrect.

Where in the original Hitman games did 47 assassinate Diana's parents? His entire backstory was completely different.

>His entire backstory was completely different.
Nope.

>Completely different
>It's literally the same but with new stuff

Not like there's a story anyway. If you read the wiki about the game it's actually interesting but they ruined it by making the game generic and inviting to everyone. All started going downhill after Contracts. Blood Money was a bit more rounded but still solid. Then Absolution destroyed the entire series by making it some romantic comedy and treating Agent 47 like an incompetent jackass. Then they had to reboot it and just made it a generic sandbox game where you try to find a unique way to assassinate targets. That's all it is now.

I can't imagine how people would react if Contracts came out now. That was on the path of where Hitman was supposed to go. They didn't make him out to be a joke. The entire game was disgustingly dark. The entire atmosphere was the opposite of "fun". Which was the point.

I beat Contracts and playing Blood Money right now, it's fun but a lot of the missions feel too easy, like there's a very plain and obvious "correct" way to do things.

Attached: 1561454651402.gif (540x652, 1.7M)

OK

intercept the doctor who contracts aids and jab her with an emetic syringe, that'll prevent the virus from spreading.

I think this is the end for nuHitman 2, I don't know if we'll be getting a Patient Zero-like bonus campaign. I hope we do, it's sad to compare the kind of bonus missions Sapienza got to the new special assignments.

47 wanting to get his memories back is such an obvious place to take his character that I'm surprised it took this long to get to this point.

Bump

I need advice on play mode
>playing on professional makes me constantly savescum to get best score
>can’t play master because too scared of losing way too many times and getting burnt out as a result
What do?

Considering you savescum on Professional you're going to go insane on Master when you can only save one time.

Because the focus of Hitman games after the first really isn't 47 as a character. The overall plot is just a framing device to string together otherwise unrelated targets for you to kill

Hire a hitman.

People forget that Contracts and BM only gave you 2 or 3 ways to kill your targets on average. The new games really upped their game when it came to kill opportunities.

Diana is basically the protagonist of the new games anyway since she’s the one playing an active role in the story compared to the passive role 47 plays and the fact that the story is clearly being told from her perspective. Hitman stories are always best when 47 is basically a side character. The failure to relegate 47 to this role is why the movies and Absolution are shit.

Based Contracts chad

Attached: Contracts.jpg (596x380, 40K)

Will Hitman 3 have a mission where you go to a porn convention to assassinate based Rocco?

Attached: tvposters.jpg (844x812, 202K)

So is saying it's a bad game because checkpoints and disguises don't work how you'd like them to and that instinct is bad because it's finite.

looking forward to the new map, looks comfy

>driving gloves

why IO why

>sõymañ gacha
???

What do you expect The Resort will be like? I'm guessing it's going to be most similar to Colorado. Small (if Bank is anything to go by) and a lack of verticality.

I don't think the resort will be an only-trespassing zone.

good, me neither

I feel like the only one who misses the atmosphere of old hitman. Compose a classical OST instead of using zoomer music and hire local voice actors for NCPs instead of using the same british guy and american guy to voice every civilian in every level. Cutting out some of the HUD and constant markers wouldn't hurt either.

>Remove the markers for the special opportunities
They can be disabled in HUD settings. Anyway, what difference does it make, you are not going to be using the opportunities after your first 50 hours or so

> 47 goes to a blacked event party to killed the masterminds behind mindgeek.
day 1 purchase.

>I feel like the only one who misses the atmosphere of old hitman
Literally everyone complains about the lack of atmosphere in new games. Even those of us who love the nu-Hitman.

Professional is the way the game is meant to be played, you should only ever bother touching Master difficulty if you want to 100% everything. Just stop savescumming you double nigger
