I played this game for the first time today and i uninstalled it after 2 hours because despite being set 3000 years ago the characters still call each other "fucking dickheads"

Yeah, I don't know anything about the games past Unity but I'm just wondering what the setup is.
I know the whole idea is they started using it to make games, movies, and tv series, so I was just thinking some artistic liberties were taken so the world would get it.
Overall, you could just attribute that to the auto translation thing in the Animus, though. It just finds an approximation and throws it out, possibly (it used to not translate things it didn't know, usually cusses xd)
