>trusting ubishit ever
>sales itself

also
>sales itself on historical accuracy
since when
don't you remember reading in your history books that leonardo da vinci was good friends with the assassin houses of italy
I played this game for the first time today and i uninstalled it after 2 hours because despite being set 3000 years ago the characters still call each other "fucking dickheads"
Its jarring as fuck, seriously why didn't they get a historian to coloquilise the dialogue
You really think comparing someone to a penis is a recent insult?
There's a lot that's jarring about the game, but I'm going go with here and say that genital-based insults are probably some of the oldest insults in the world.
Its the vernacular they are using its 1000 bc and they're using terminoligy from the modern day. It was worse the life is strange's 40 year old millenial speak.
How do you figure?
Last I heard shit like Black Flag and Unity wasn't even legit 1:1 conversions of the past like the earlier games' Animus shit were, they were literally video games made by Abstergo to fund their activities.
I don't have a problem with genital insults but if they found a historian who could tell them exactly what curse words and insults they used it'd much better.
It'd be like someone in a medieval game calling someone a faggot when that word meant a bundle of sticks at the time. A bit of research goes a long way instead it feels like they just watched 300 and thought "ooh yeah lets do that"
