What's the best controller for PC gaymen, Yea Forums?
My Xbox 360 is pretty worn and the left stick is starting to do its own thing: not a lot, but enough to make HESSing impossible to learn.

I mostly game on Linux btw.
I bought a ps54 controller for PC gaming and it sucks. Most PC games natively take an xbox controller and their buttons promps are usually all xbox. I like how the ps4 controller feels but honestly xbox just because it's more native.
PS4 controller works perfectly for me
I don't know the setup for linux but you need to install secondary drivers on windows

DS4 is the perfect pick. It has an excellent driver, DS4Windows, and it feels perfect in the hand.
DS4Windows makes the DS4 appear as an XB controller. And, in case you haven't noticed, the layout is literally the same between the two.
Honestly, you just can't beat Xbox 360/One controllers.
My second choice would be an Xbox One controller.
How are the Linux drivers?

Just get a ds4. Xbox controller feels clunky as fuck. For the button prompts, most of the time there’s a mod that replaces Xbox buttons with ds4 button prompt so you don’t have to worry about that.
having the touchpad to browse the steam library instead of having to pick up a mouse or keyboard is pretty neat.
