What are the essential Morrowwind Mods?

i used something like this and it was pretty nice
its basically seamless leveling and you don't have to min-max skills anymore

Waiting for Open Morrowind to be finished, and then to get much better mods.
I mean, if you haven't played the game by know you can wait a couple of years more, it's not like there are few games to play.

Any mod that gives some soul to the NPCs instead of being stationary robot encyclopedias would be good.

That's the mod called "imagination and being older than 21."

It's a robotic world where you're the only character alive and doing anything at all. Sorry but these NPCs don't aid to my imagination and immersion at all.

Get both. There's no overlap or conflicts as they govern two totally different areas.
No need for anything besides bug fixes, the game's already fantastic vanilla. After your first playthrough look into other mods to change anything you felt needed changing and/or add more content.
