Why did he keep calling Banjo characters sad souls?

Why did he keep calling Banjo characters sad souls?

Chosen Undead is in.

SOLAIREEEEEEE

As an expert in japanomachy he is just being sarcastic, all those characters were pretty much plain and boring, they have no character, thats why he talks about them as if they had a tragic background, or a background at all

He knows working for Microsoft is hell

Mr Dark soul is in

>"Look at all those dumb gaijin characters lol. No soul lmao"
>"What's that, a bear girl? What a sad sack of cubfag bait lol"
>"A witch is a villain? Wow Real original"
>"The fuck is this, a skull? Sad!"
>"Some bugs and flying fucks wow. Gaijins, amirite?"

sad souls? Would you say they're dark souls?

I think he was talking about how fucked up shit happens to pretty much all of them.

>Americans can't recognize when a superior taste is banting them

Accept it. Banjo is ridiculous. Might aswell have included Barney the Dinosaur

Banjo Kazooie was a pretty sad game, now that you mention it.

He knows that only sad souls wanted Banjoke and that they were sad cringe manchildren for constantly bothering them about some dumb bear it’s like they didn’t want to add it but did it only to please annoying autists

>bottles fucking dies
>grunty gets stuck under a boulder for two years and is gradually reduced to a skull
>tootie completely falls off the face of the earth after the first game.

It's a cry for help

Seething Stevefag

This, anyone failing to understand must be socially inept. We are on Yea Forums tho...

This. Zoomers are a plague

No, I meant from a storytelling perspective. Things like Bottles dying and his sister getting kidnapped.

Even Gruntilda is somewhat sad.

Mumbo's backstory is also messed up. His face was cursed by Grunty and it never changed back to normal.

I guess that's the difference between the heroes and the villains in that story. Grunty's whole motivation is to become attractive, but when Mumbo is changed to look how he does, he doesn't even care about getting back to normal.

Hes banting. Notice when he talks about tooty he goes
"Look at her go towards the cabbage patch. Now see her walk back to her hou-oh guess not."
Then when the buzzbombers came in he went "I guess these are supposed to be Dragonflies..?" As if to throw shade. Sounded like he didnt really enjoy talking about the characters at all.
Lost souls was probably a running gag he had with his coworkers. Which is why they kept laughing.

Mumbo is a Chad no matter how he looks

it's british humor
cynicism and tragedy is the bread and butter of comedy in the UK
but yeah i agree that tooie was incredibly dark, and that the characters taking everything in stride was just unnatural

Its true, tooie was to dark but you know i dont remember all that dark stuff mostly because i didnt knew english at that time and was just a bear trying to stop a witch.

Tooie had a big impact on me.
>Two years passed, both IRL and in the game
>Bottles gets murdered, Gruntilda is now a corpse
>Spiral Mountain is left in a wreck
>Cheato is torn apart
>She stops rhyming which took enough effort on her end and decides to not fuck around. You can't say this was laziness on Rare's end because Jamjars also rhymes
>The Gray Jinjo family and Jingaling in general
The entire game felt melancholy in some areas but overall it wasn't the same as before. It was like the world grew up besides me. I think Tooie may have been the last game that really had an impact on me during my childhood, a real impact you don't see too much in sequels today.

Nuts & Bolts may as well have been my old friends drifting away.

i think the stupidest part of nuts and bolts was the fact that it acknowledges that banjo and kazooie are unsuccessful
it practically commits to the series going down the drain, that it's not worth continuing despite the grand successes of kazooie and tooie
