Hope it's like SAO
Reminder that Atoli is a dumb thot and got what she deserved.
No shit, developers want to continue what they created. The question is, will their publishers allow them to?

This isn't fucking news user. Matsuyama's been saying this for fucking ever.
Apparently, Namco Bandai are very open to the idea of a continuation of the series. The reluctance is coming from CC2 themselves, as 'it will depend on the timing'.
Honestly, I'd like to see how emojis and how people act on the internet now would be displayed in the show.

I mean, it's in limbo now. With SAO having its run and iesaki being huge recently, why wouldn't they push it as their new project? They are also working on a VR game...
What the hell is his problem?
New World gigaton bombed and Last Recode was a remaster, not a continuation. You'd think they'd be preparing a Link remaster (+ Versus/Movie) for its 10th anniversary in 2020 if they wanted to get the rest of the world caught up and eventually fina-fuckingly move on. No such luck though.
Reminder that Alkaid and BlackRose are best girls in their games.
They said a LINK remaster was unlikely as it sold very poorly
Atoli is best girl
LOL
So, I can't really get into the that secret area. What are the three keywords again?
By that logic, G.U. shouldn't have been remastered. G.U. worldwide sold half of what IMOQ did. That was a huge drop. Link did a 100k in Japan while the G.U. games (in Japan) did average 150k which is far less steep of a dropoff.

Just want them to finish the series as they seemed poised to do. Being left on cliffhanger since 2012 hurts. And the audio drama that came with Last Recode hinted at more than just Link happening, but in fact possible rogue survivng AIDA not co-existing peacefully alongside humans.
What was stopping them before? I didn't Play G.U. Volume 4 yet but it seems to me they already got their feet in the dirt again. I wouldn't even care if they reused the G.U. Engine and assets again as long as it got us a new game and showed some kind of love and attention like the old games.
GU was probably remastered over IMOQ because it takes place later and they could add a new story. IDK how they could have done that with the originals given we already know everything that happens because of GU. They would have to retcon their own games.
I don't even want an IMOQ remaster. That stories been done to death. Link/Movie/Versus remaster released worldwide would handily do as well as Last Recode did. Largely out of curiousity in the west for not having gotten them the first go around.
A certain orange ninja series that lasted 2 gens.
>I didn't Play G.U. Volume 4 yet
You honestly don't need to. Its merely a .hack//G.U. epilogue. Which isn't saying much because Vol.3 had an epilogue. And then Returner was an epilogue. Its basically filler territory with a zero-explanation villian thrilling time-filling activities such as talking to every main character. Again. And again. And a third time. Who, by the way unlike Haseo, hadn't changed even a tiny bit in the year between 3 & 4.
>Who, by the way unlike Haseo, hadn't changed even a tiny bit in the year
Just like real life
For a series who's theme is "Grow Up" it made very little sense for like 30-some characters to be the same old, same old. That the amplify the emphasis of this by overdoing their old character personality traits sealed the deal on it being a "nobody matters but Haseo" thing. Yata should straight up not have been there. Period. Some random others shouldn't have been around either due to quitting the dying busted game.
