What if the gameplay is just shitty and the dev purposely just wanted to tell a story? Look at God of War for instance. 60 hour game with maybe 4-5 hours of cutscenes, but since it's a stupid hallway simulator with QTE button mashy combat, it's obviously more movie than game.

a big part of the issue is that they're scanning in faces for the shape, but the textures don't look as realistic which causes uncanny valley. improving the textures will help the problem a lot. but i think that's going to end up being boring, just putting realistic shit in games gets boring.

It seems Europeans are very likely to adopt zeal quasi-religious beliefs. Now keep in mind, that this zeal religious belief influences every aspect of their cultural production. It will always be uglier, it would always be inferior, it will always be unnatural, and its intentional, they don't see a problem with it, the uglier they are, the stronger the cognitive dissonance, the stronger they will support doing it. ANd of course, another problem is that Westerners, particular Northern Europeans, lack a sense of style and are not as good as the Japanese when it comes to making appealing eye candy and appealing games. (I almost feel bad shitty on all Europeans, because Southern Europeans seem to be more good at this)

tl;dr their religion sucks and their practical skills are lower. Don't even disagree with me. If this wasn't a genetic problem with westerners, then I wouldn't have to see unironic westerners preaching these same virtues on Yea Forums. I don't see them when I browse other language chans.
