Cheating in singleplayer
No, in fact I encourage it.
Doubly so if it's a """"""single player""""""" game that tries to sell you in-game currency/items. You should cheat in those on principle
Okay semi related, I've been playing Pathfinder: Kingmaker and I think I just noticed a bug where the character respec option let's you remake your old char with it's old stats plus a new set of point buy points, effectively giving my PC tons of extra ability attribute points.
I'm strongly tempted to go through with it because I wanted to respec my PC character anyways. Anyone have an opinion?
cheating in games pretty much always ruins the experience. the only exception i can think of is if you reinstall a game you played before that has no cloud saves because you want to nostalgia in a time-efficient manner.
I cheat all the time, but not in typical ways, I like to do things like edit savefiles to remove the aspects of the game I don't like so I can have NG+ playthroughs the way I want.
e.g. playing Ultimate Spider-Man on PC and editing the savefile so I start the game with all the collectable bullshit high enough that all missions are available, and all suits are already unlocked.
Or playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on PC and editing the savefile so all characters are unlocked so I can start a new career with any character I want at any time this is also the only way I've ever unlocked pvt carrera
I like NG+ a lot when it leaves you with all options already available or lets you skip tedious sections, but too many games just leave you OP for NG+ that shit's boring, or they simply don't have NG+.
>Pathfinder
If I touch that shit (maybe if they finally fix the bugs) I'll cheat from the very first minute. Fuck Pathfinder m8, literally the worst D&D version.
I don't know how similar Pathfinder is to 3e but stats don't matter as much as feats and level.
you're not a patrician. you're just a shitty cheater trying to comfort yourself because you're not the worst of all cheaters.
No but it can ruin your experince even if its just to skip grind
As long as it's singleplayer, do whatever you want, it's your game.
Cheating in multiplayer is, as always, reprehensible and wrong for all parties involved.
