Post games that literally only you and three people in the world have ever played. Also has to be physical copies, not emulated. Got this as a birthday gift, not sure why.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT"
I used to rent this game as a kid.
The bandit dude fucked me up for a little while. Was stoked after beating him and he joins you.
I still have my physical copy of this.
Here are the other three people who ever played this game.
I had no idea this was even a thing. I’ve played the first two on the Dreamcast, is this one anything like it?
It's literally the same thing. The game contains an abbreviated version of Evolution: The World of Sacred Device along with the full sequel Evolution 2: Far Off Promise on the same disc.
The only thing I remember from this game is you can slap bad guys with a Swiss Army knife glove thing. If the other games could let you do that, yes.
Yes, it's an xcom spinoff, its from the same guys, and all the different factions sound kick-ass. But the way TP is handled is too bizarre, you assign all your moves and they all play out at once including the enemy, it seems interesting but it never really felt right to me.
i followed operation rainfall back then because i played a shitload of ps2 jrpgs and this little gem surprised the fuck out of me because it was never talked about, but the boxart drew me in when i saw it
>buy it for like 30 bucks in 2003 or 04
>put like 500 hours in, love it despite the awful voice acting
>sell it in 2011 for 100 bucks for drugs
>now its selling between 250-500 dollars
fuck me
and then there's this other one, similarly doing away with world mechanics to focus on a structured RPG-esque campaign and multiplayer (as much as you could on a GBA anyway) and was a lot better off with a combat system that closely replicated the original games. Definitely preferred this.
I still have my physical copy of this too.
I'm too lazy to save a picture but I had this Action Man game when I was a kid. It was total hot trash and I'm sure I was one of the only kids dumb enough to ask for it over a good game.
It was a weird fighting game. You could transform between little cutesy puppy form and hulking robotic beast form and had minigames about crushing frogs.
My mom brought me this home one day and I played a good bit of it. Never beat it.
I remember not liking this game.
All the fuckin' recruitable party members save for the butler were utter trash. You had to spend your limited money on them while the butler has both damage output and healing potential and costs nothing, so if Llinear isn't healing you've still got a backup healer with max rewards.
>FREE battle beast mouse pad
Why the FUCK didn't more games give away free mouse pads
I remember looking at this in nintendo power and really wanted to get it but it was always expensive as fuck at the game store
was it good?
I say look up a let's play on YouTube and find out yourself. I remember not hating it but got bored with it half way.
Legit ludo
I still have this and my memory with 100s of hours played on it
My great fear is that one of them breaks
I got this and a gamecube for christmas and I had no idea what the fuck I was doing throughout most of the game
I would legit have killed myself if I lost my memory card back when I was playing
It takes so fucking ungodly long to unlock the two warships, and if you are going for 100% collection we are talking 1500 hours plus
how the FUCK do you beat the machine enemy in that base area piloted by that evil fucker? the giant tank thing. its been years. and is he the final boss?
>isometric metroidvania
The platforming was annoying and it was hard to aim at anything
Holy shit, I remember reading about this in a gaming magazine as a wee lad. Thanks for opening THAT floodgate, OP, God damn.
found an image. how do i beat this fucker?
With the craze of gacha these days it's baffling that the game was never revived in some way. Then again these days it would have a billion micro transactions and a data tube loot boxes. In a way it released at the perfect time, before it could be corrupted by any of the bullshit
>You win the game by force feeding cake to a princess until she becomes morbidly obese
I bought this game because it seemed like psp TF2. Was fun but weird.
I'm pretty sure the game soft locked for me here because I couldn't beat this boss and the game doesn't let you backtrack from the save point.
I wish Tommorow Children could get a second chance, maybe something closer to the original vision before Sony forced it to be F2P
LITERALLY just me and 3 other people, since it's a 4-player multiplayer action RPG I used to play with my pals. Had a physical copy too, but sadly it got damaged while I was moving to a new house and I had to emulate to beat it, but it still counts right?
You played a physical copy so you good. Must have played physical at one point for it to count.
That is Eugene and he's not even a quarter of the way through the game. You've barely started and seriously need to git gud.
Protip: Get Gre Nade, the butler, for healing and his Critical move.
My dad randomly got me the game one day
Got to the ice labyrinth at that one town with boxes full of liquor and said fuck this
i was retarded as a kid when i played this game and i have no idea why
once you lost linear for the last half of the game it felt like i was completely fucked on healing, and reading a strategy guide told me i had missed that healing gun for pepper in that optional side tower shit
i dont remember how the fuck i beat the game, but im pretty sure it involved grinding to near the fucking level cap to do so
linear was also my first waifu
I'm sure more than 3 people played this, but I just can't remember its name
Yo.
i got this one for a birthday to. I hated it but thought linear was cute.
I played that game when I was pretty young and played it again on emulator 2 years ago. it got really grindy with the random dungeons but I remember getting very sad at how wholesome and heartwarming the ending was for this dumb game
Rented it twice, eventually got it for Christmas
I thought the game would be a lot longer than it actually was but wasn't it only like 3 chapters? Still had a lot of fun with it
>furry skating game published by atlus
And your parents wonder why you're gay
Ah, so you've played it?
Fuck skeletons
Fuck robots
And fuck martians
I played it, it sucks the gba games were better
I played this shit, I remember trying mad hard to get the secret characters
I don't remember how I got the game, but I vaguely remember it not saving or erasing the save file so me and my friends would unlock most of them regularly
I miss these power stone style games
My brother got it as a Christmas present. It wasn't very good.
Played the shit out of this. It was a unique game to say the least
The Arcade game Magicians Dead. It had a worldwide leaderboard and I was routinely number one each week even if I only played 3 rounds.
I remember that game! Boy, was it terrible! At least the creation was fun.
really, faggot?
they TRIED kind of
Speaking of arcade games, anyone remember arcade shoot 'em up that was had wild west type setting and anthropomorphic animal gunslinger characters?
>Legend of Dragoon
>obscure
I admire your enthusiasm to shill a good game, but c'mon, you have to try a bit harder than THAT.
I still have my physical copy of this as well.
Upgrade Pepper so that she has that heal all ability. Then the Butler.
Improving your equipment was key
shhhhh I'm shilling for a remake
Good shit. I still play it from time to time
this game was fun and pepper was fucking hot
Looks like one of those weird european ripoff games like Snow White and the Seven Clever Boys.
15,000 sales in its first month
I bought it at a GameCrazy (or whatever the hollywood video game store was called) in maybe 2005? I bought it with animal crossing. Maybe one of my favorite (arguably flawed) games ever. Ive never played the dreamcast version but the GC version and its bad voice acting had me from the start.
>100% collection we are talking 1500 hours plus
Only if you don't glitch
*AHEM*
The sequel was better.
Fuck DS though
Everybody played that game
I can't be the only one that played it, but I've never seen it posted in these threads.
SEQUEL
FUCKING
WHEN
It's already been announced bro! for smartphones lol fucking kill me
It was definitely part of the "key rotation" for multiplayer nights. Goldeneye, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, etc.
I played the everloving shit out of this.
I always wanted to like this game, but could never really get into it. I still have it. Should give it another shot....again.
Fuck me, they're still making EQ1 expansions, but EQ:N was a hard no?
I only had the demo of this and was too stupid to understand the controls. Every other 7th Level game I nearly had, though, besides that lizard one. The rest were mostly easy clickers and minigames, notably this and some Month Python games.
Found this at a 7/11
Got it for like 4 bucks
I really had no expectations, but it was a really fun game, 100% it
basically its a turn based fighting game, where you build monster using materials you find in fights, and then using those materials to create parts, where the quality of said part is decided by how well you did in a little mini game. theirs TONS of different parts in the game. You can make some pretty cool monsters.
I have yet to meet a single person, IRL or on the internet that has even HEARD of this game
How far would you get?
Does this count?
What was that one N64 game with the kid holding a staff on the cover, where you started off in a church or something? It had a super generic name I think
Depends on if your name is Mike or not.
I borrowed this from my older cousin. Didn't understand shit due to not understanding English then and I got no idea how far I actually even got before returning it, but certain moments of game are still engraved in my memory despite not playing it in almost 20 years.
Quest 64 my dude.
I loved the multi-system maps from this game. Had an alright story, too.
It isn't. Hi Mike
This one for me. It's still one of my all-time favorites
Oh hey, I remember renting this for the PS2.
Yeah, it's a fun weekend time waster. Kinda repetitive, not much content outside of making parts & monsters, but still a fun time for like a day or two. Can't remember if I even beat it or not, but I do remember enjoying it a lot for the first few hours.
Probably the worst JRPG I've ever finished. Played it when I was a kid and it's one of the first games I realized was bad
Anyway here's mine
Thanks, that was it! I should emulate it, was it any decent?
god that game was trash
I nearly finished it just by wandering around and trying to figure out what to do. Never did, and I'm glad. Last boss fight is a joke.
i remember seeing this game at blockbuster and thinking it looked like it sucked and rented sonic riders instead and had a great time.
>Series ended because Blizzard bought Swingin' Ape and then dissolved the studio because they couldn't decide just what the fuck they wanted from Ghost
I only know that game as Blaze & Blade. And it was released on PC as hotseat four player RPG. On the same keyboard. Shit was wack.
Mine is pic related. It was a god awful dungeon crawler but damn if it didn't have soul.
My nigga
It was an unfinished mess
But I still have a lot of nostalgia for it.
Yeah, Blaze & Blade was how I found it online to emulate as well. Sadly I could only find it in PAL as Legend of Foresia despite having an NTSC TV, so I also remember having some screen issues when playing it physical but I didn't care 'cuz I was having so much fun.
Also, is Dragon Valor that game where your children picked up your adventure in various parts of the game? That was also a fun one.
No one i know has these games
Endless ocean, and endless ocean blue world
These are probably the best diving games i have ever played
I FUCKING LOVE THESE GAMES
saw these in the corner of a gamestop and got em used for like 10 bucks
Got home
Put em in
Played them for like, the next 3 months
Absolutely amazing games
10/10, literally mind blowing just how great these are.
still own both of them
in the first one, you have this big section off the coast of some island for you to explore. it's about finding different fish and ocean life around the place. Theirs TONS of secret areas, including this area with a bunch of destroyed ruins which has a few really cool Easter eggs.
The second one turns it up to not 11, but like 11 fucking thousand.
AIght
You got like 20 different places around the world you get to explore
All with completely different animals and environments
The sharks and dangerous animals actually hurt you
Theirs more places to walk around on land
Theirs a SHITTON of secret treasure you can find and sell for gear.
it looks fucking beautiful
Its literally the greatest video-game ever made.
Non ironically, its literally my favorite game. Those deep ocean sections in the red sea fucking SPOOKED the fuck outta me.
also has TONS of secret animals and stuff that only come out at specific times on specific days.
Cool shit.
I HIGHLY recommend if your looking for a comfy game.
I respect that. A remake would make me boot a PS4
They're doing something with Panzer Dragoon so maybe they'll throw Legend a bone soon
Real niggas.
One can hope. My PS4 has not been turned on since I dropped persona 5
Pisses me off to this day.
this shit was so atmospheric, I loved swimming through it.
Except the deep, that can fuck right off
Yeah, that's the one.
I had the physical copy of this but ended up selling it as a kid because I thought it was shit.
OK, so let's play a game Yea Forums.
Look at the cover at the left.
OK? Good.
Now try and guess what kind of game it is.
Ready? Great.
Answer: It's a fucking shmup.
When i finally got past this as a kid it felt like the game really opened up.
HELP
I once played a game similar to Zelda, with a character that would travel an overworld and then enter 2D sidescrolling areas to find items. I THINK the character was a caveman, but I'm not sure. I know it involved sailing on a raft.
I never played this game but I remember the advertising in a magazine. It looked exciting but its mixed reviews made me wonder if it would be worth to actually give it a try.
one of the worst ones ive ever played
It kinda tried to mimic Crash Bandicoot and Rayman 2,but fell flat in execution.
Everyone had this game you giant faggot.
It wasn't that terrible of a game IMO, but 9yo me was so livid that I went to a game store to rent some cool barbarian action-packed funtime and instead got fucking flying men Gradius that I couldn't help but hate it either.
>had a new copy of Mega Man X3
>sold it to Babbages for $30
>bought a Game Genie for N64
>Game Genie worked 10% of the time
>mfw
ive never beat this game. i had it for ages on the game cube, and i lost my copy in the move, i was stuck in the second dungeon lol
ive got a japanese copy for the dreamcast
Carcano is BASED
Still sad that I lost my copy of pic related.
I played this too! both versions
Loved this game as a kid. It’s almost unknown though
Heroes Advance Guardian?
>published
it was also internal
HOLY SHIT THANK YOU
I've been trying to remember this game for years
No one has 100%ed this game but me. Not proud.
I remember this game because of the X-Play review. I don't remember anything about their review just that they reviewed it.
I never tried to claim one, still a major regret.
The most underrated Konami game
It's an unlicensed Chinese game for NES, but despite that it's actually an original game despite mimicking Kirby's artstyle. I love it.
Rented this at one point and had the GameCube version of this game, although I can't recall what happened to it. General consensus seems to say that it's shit, but I remember loving it.
I remember playing this when I was younger, but very few of the specifics. Even back then I thought the idea of choosing a third party member based on their strength versus how much of the reward they took after a dungeon was an interesting mechanic.
Used to own this, it's pretty bad a's far as rpgs go but my dad loved it
Linear was my first anime crush iirc. man I had some puppy love weird dreams about that scene at the end of part 1 where she becomes an angel or whatever.
never finished it, though. Blockbuster rental.
The ps3 game was legit fun. Class based CTF with a fat flag
same. I dunno where my copy went. lol
I remember there weren't like any ads for this at all or something. not even a review? just like a single paragraph in Nintendo power as an upcoming title or some shit
because you got to play an entire game instead of just an abbreviated version of a game
see
>see this 17 years ago in a game store
>never heard of it in my life
>buy it expecting something sub par
>it's fucking amazing
>haven't heard anyone ever talk about it
Criminally underrated.
I need to 100% this game but that factory is bullshit so nvm.
Picked this up at a hobby store one day along with Gundam Battle Assault. Needless to say I was pleasantly fucking surprised
Holy shit there are other people that remember this game I CAN'T BELIEVE IT
Bought this and LotD on the same day. To this day I've only met 1 person who even knows about it, let alone has played or beaten it.
The robot one? If so I’m pretty sure that’s early in the game
Should mention this one as well. Rainbow Six crossed with Gundam
I love this pirate game so much. I don't think anyone alive now has ever played it nor beat it. It was a good adventure game imo.
I played that game, user. It's really cool. Can't say I've seen that combat system anywhere else and music is rocking too (composer is the same lady who does Castlevania). Guess it's not popular because it never came out in the US, a small publisher put it out in Europe with zero advertising.
Oh no I beat the game. The robot wasn’t too bad it’s the FACTORY. I mean creating those blueprints and making weapons. I tried but just gave up it’s too hard for me to figure out.
It was an objective based skating game with scifi plot. I never completed it, it was hard as hell.
I remember that. You are right it was overly complicated
I bought it two years ago. I tried to enjoy it when it came out but my friends mocked the game endlessly. And I didn't own it at the time.
I could get past the 5 or 6th level with the lion minigame. The aiming controls were pretty horrid for 2001.
I keep forgetting I have this game with as late as it came out and I got it for the Wii version.
It included the Wii U version and its the only Wii U game I own.
It has a 100% english translation patch, but that's enough for it to fly by most people.
it's the most kino of kino
Very strange platformers with sword combat.
Featuring Gackt from the Final Fantasy series.
>"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT"
Fucking hell, I heard it. Dreamcast version was better.
I still feel like this game is grossly underrated when discussing PS2 games. It's up there with some of the best PS2 RPGs, and it has a lot going for it but when it came out I could never get anyone else to play it. When it came out in the US the PS3 and the 360 were both out no one wanted to play a PS2 JRPG.
Holy shit 3DO made ps2 era games outside of Army Men?
I own both of them for the Dreamcast. I got maybe halfway through the first one but I only played the second one for a little bit since I hadn't beaten the first one and I never did. I was going to get it for Gamecube but physical copies were insane.
Pretty sure I got distracted by Granida II and Skies of Arcadia. Maybe Climax Landers *cringe*
Grandia II damnit.
Holy shit I never thought I'd live to see an EW thread. Loved the shit out of this game, even if it was a little short
Shame because its a great game.
It was my first skating game and I loved it. Nearly shit myself when my brother gave me Tony hawk later
I had it on the DS. Sold it and rebought it and turns out it's a refurbished copy but it still runs. I loved the artwork and thought an Oz rpg was cool. Everyone says it's an easy game but I got my ass handed to me a lot. Also I got lost a lot since the roads look really samey.
Was it this? youtube.com
I need to replay this. Magic Pengel was aesthetic but goddamn the game was bad
I have the first two games on Dreamcast. Only played the first so far, quite enjoyed it.
Probably my favorite RPG since televisions and monitors went HD. Ironically it's not a HD game...
I heard of it! It used to be on my list but I never got around to playing it and just kind of forgot about it.
I played this as a teenager with friends. It wasn't it my local language and I didn't know english well at the time, so it was a real challenge. Recently got my hands on a JP copy. If possible I'll play this with friends again. I remember it was very fun.
Is this really obsuce? ALL of my friends know and have played it.
A legend.
Played this one too. It's pretty great.
Yes! Thank you friend.
I still have my PS2 version and I've played it to completion. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it has a point of no return.
I remember playing a demo of this.
Yo that game was dope
>people don't use one of the most elaborate glitches of all time in any gamecube game ever
I bought it because it was two things I liked, skateboarding games and designs by spumco (ren and stimpy) half the cast wasn't even furry so fuck you.
A really fun Zelda clone for PS1
I have this game. It's for sure underrated in the sea of shovelware.
I like the gamecube version better but the ps3 version adding 4 more playable characters in that hard as fuck co-op mode made it worth it to double dip this game.
