Is there no fighting game that can dethrone the almighty Tekken. I like both by the way. Tekken 2 was my first but DOA 2, 3, and Ultimate are my favorite.

Problem for DOA is the gaming media has a hate-boner for it going back at least 13 years, and are unwilling to let it drop, even as KT drives the series into the ground trying to appease them. It's on life support as it is and all we ever hear about is #RapeCulture raging about Venus Vacation. They pulled back on the fanservice in DOA6, but that wasn't good enough for the culture warriors, because VV still existed, even if it was only available overseas. KT could bring Itagaki back or hire someone else with a creative bone in their body, but it still would get hate from all the usual corners and be ignored by the fgc.

At this point hating on DoA is more a tradition then anything else i mean every fighting game have lewd stuff and nobody cares . Honestly i dont think among the FGC those DoAX games do impact the general perception of the main game they just hate it for the heck of it .
