I think the most egregious thing this game did was put in two armor types, and if you use the wrong gun type you do absolutely fuck all damage, dump every bullet you have into one guy and you've chipped down one square of armor bad. Not only does it reduce your selection of weapons in half on any enemy, less than that because the pistols/uzis simply don't do enough damage to justify using under any circumstance no matter how much you upgrade them, it results in these situations where you run out of the "correct" ammo and you backtrack through the level looking for ammo instead of actually playing the fucking game.
Also throwing a knife/fireaxe does ten times the damage of any gun, no joke. Even the explosives or mounted weapons.
Also yes I only downloaded this because I just bought a new Nvidia card, already uninstalled. It's a travesty that this game has the Wolfenstein name attached to it.
