The games' only point of comparison is being in the same ill-defined genre and don't attempt or achieve the same things, you might as well ask what NG4 has to do in a post-God of War world

Because he's more limited than Dante. Nero has the benefit of meatier attacks and unique devil breakers, but V is just a fucking slog. It's irksome that money was put into perfecting him, when Nero has useless devil breakers as Rawhide, Helter Skelter, and the three clawed one; two of these become superannuated by Nero's arm, and Helter Skelter is only good with its charge attack. Dante is the ONLY perfect character in DMC5.
