>expert mode
>less ammo

Somewhere someone has this doll.
They put different facial expressions on her whenever they hot glue her. they even swap her head every week that she becomes incrementally more submissive.

>play game for the first time
>equip an item that prevents you from gaining levels and stay level 1
>don't use consumables because they also seem way overpowered
>don't use DLC items from the same reason (except the one to stay level 1)
>game is STILL too easy, and even beat the superbosses at level 1 with no consumables
damnit FFXV, I knew it was easy so I tried to make it hard, and failed miserably

>hard mode enemies take more damage

>Hardcore mode
>Save points are reduced or removed

The fact that non shooters do this too is proof there needs to be a game dev holocaust

>Hard difficulty
>It's easier than Easy difficulty

Every fucking time

>secret hard mode that only unlocks after you beat the game on hard mode
>you die in on hit
>but so do enemies

>finally beat long and hard boss
>kinda low health and cut it pretty close
>there's a save point after and save points restore your health
>it's a mimic

>hard mode
>enemies don't stagger when you hit them

Name a bunch (?) of games that do this.

>Hardcore mode
>You have to start over when you die

>Insane mode
>You just have less accuracy than hard/normal mode
>The game is now a slot machine

>game removes mechanics on Easy mode to be "simpler" and more "accessible" but ends up rendering the game extremely difficult with the lack of control over things

>hardest difficulty
>all enemies become hyperaware superhumans with flawless aim of their automatic weapons from a mile away
I never understood why cawadoody even had this difficulty as an option

Dragon's Dogma

>the game is now a slot machine

>Realistic mode
>Every thing is the same except if you get shot once you die

Attached: 1561938838268.png (803x688, 98K)

>still need to shot like 20 bullets to everyone else's heads before they die

>hardest difficulty
>harder than it would be irl because of the confines of the game

>Harder difficulty makes it so enemies see further, use their full AI potential and organize more thorough search patterns.
>HP is the same, but you need to hit them where it's actually lethal now.
>Shooting people in the foot isn't something that instakill people. You can abuse the fact that if you empty a mag, you might kill them by doing that, but it's obvious you're not meant to, but they left it there so even retards that can't aim at least have a chance.

Pretty good.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

>difficulties harder than Normal reduce the amount of ammo you can carry, reduces the amount of health you have and makes the AI able to noscope you from a mile away

How?

Some of the attributes of hard mode gives you double exp and massively increases gold drops, you end up easily outleveling and outgearing the content you're in. In most cases it ends up being easier than easy mode

>Select Difficulty:
>Supereasy
>Superhard

>new zone
>all enemies are the same but of different color and have increased stats along whit cheap moves
>boss just spams attack at random and is merely a damage sponge

>hard difficulty
>makes the game harder
:O

I actually don't mind when hard is a lazy "lol higher stats".

Especially when normal has such weak enemies that they die before you even get to use the game's features (like you have combos, finishing moves, bunch of equipment, ways to exploit weakness.. but virtually none of it matters because every enemies is too weak to even resist mashing normal attacks).

Yeah I see the problem, you're playing shitty games

>nightmare difficulty
>enemies 2 shot you on average, have way too much health and you fight multiple at the same time in a turn based rpg
God why do JRPGs do this

>Hard mode destroys savepoints once you have used them once.
>Doesn't tell you this, so a first-timer playing on hard mode thinks this is the normal experience.

...

>Hard mode
>Everything is deadlier
>Enemies die easier
