It's my first level. I kept it pretty simple & wanted to focus my attention on Hammer Bros, so I put the player in a few platforming challenges centered around Hammer Bros. It should be a breeze for people that know the patterns of Hammer Bros, but I left 2 50 Coins that are there for endless runners with a good eye & good reflexes. It's pretty short. The On/Off gimmick's the most oversaturated by a mile. What makes it worse is it's almost set up in the exact same way every time - you either have to outrun something or a shell makes it cycle. It almost makes multiplayer a fucking nightmare where you either keep falling to your death you're completely fucked and have to give up while the leader spends a minute or two to finish the rest of the stage.
I don't understand what you even want me to do in the beginning other than getting the mushroom and using the second bullet blaster to get up there to the P switch.
I'm too brainlet.
There's a door towards the beginning blocked by blocks that will turn into coins when the P switch is hit.

Finally finished with the revised version of this level. It has a huge secret, and all I will tell you is that there's a checkpoint flag somewhere in this stage.

Timer stops during freeze frames but if the power-up isn't required or you don't plan on using it for a time saving damage boost, you're better of ignoring power-ups either way

That's the one thing I dislike about how WRs are handled in MM2. It can encourage dedicated shills to just rush through levels to get their face in as many places as possible.

Bit Crusade 3 is an adventure series of Mario levels that play in the traditional sense (scaling difficulty, hidden rooms and level theming). So if you like traditional Mario stages you’ll probably like these. The “game” will eventually utilize all 5 styles so there’s a little something for everyone. Every stage has five red coins hidden within that unlock a super bonus room at the end.

That's not me you're replying to. I haven't been in the thread for the last couple hours. Also if you want those WR's so badly you're more than welcome to them, I don't really care how many I have. Speedrunning is something I only do if I've already scrubbed the level clean of all of its secrets, and if I'm feeling gutsy. I leave comments on almost of the stages I play anyway so its not like I even need to get the WR to stamp my ugly mug on it to begin with but whatever makes you happy I suppose.

I decided to make a Superball-themed level, because I hadn't seen any posted here yet, and because the music is baller.
Use superballs to trigger P switches, POW blocks and detonate Bob-Ombs to clear a path to the end! There is a secret passage for cowards who don't want to make the leap of faith.
People are a lot less forgiving in endless.
If they to play it outside of that level they would be more likely to give likes.

hey, thanks for feedback. actually the hole is like that by design, to cause a bit of uncertainty in the player. however, since it is the only way to preceed, the player is forced to take the chance, and then it is all safe down there.
also you can use crouch jump as big mario to get out of the little tunnel. but I guess that's an option that is easy to forget about because crouch jumps are not often used.
If you want likes then you should maybe make courses that are actually worth liking.

Hey, thanks. I was hoping to make a water level that was decent for people precisely because they seem uncommon and basically hated by principle. Glad you liked it.
I thought it was pretty meh, so I left a Meh.
Very poorly paced with the first part of the stage being the hardest part, the 2nd being much easier with not much of a challenge, and Bowser being a breeze at the end.
The main issue is just enemy placement, can't really blame you for a 1st level but its kind of just lazy, you substitute intricate enemy placement at spots you'd likely fall or think others would for just a mess of enemies that doesn't leave much room for creativity or clutch.
Just got the game last night. I want to design a course centred around Lakatu throwing random shit (from boos to bombs) and call it Lakatu’s wild ride. How would I go about it lads?

Introduce the threat in a safe environment with room for mistake
Change up level design with the likes of Slopes, Thin Platforms, Waiting for Moving Platforms or whatever makes the threats more threatenin
Mix ideas in a more chaotic, quick succession for the players to apply how they learned to deal with the enemy, but now with more going on at once.
Currently making The Glitz Pit from Paper Mario ttyd. I'm using the smw theme, what course theme should I use? I was thinking ground or desert.
Make it a medium auto scroll castle stage, with buzzsaws lining the roof, and gaps in the bridges that expose the lava below. Use semisolid platforms in two layers, one where they can throw stuff on you directly, and one that shelters the player from the carnage and gives them time to breathe.
If it’s in your wheelhouse, use SMW theme so the player can kick things at them to thin out their numbers. Use checkpoints in the sub area where there’s no auto scroll, whether by using the border or having no auto scroll as the default.
For the Lakitus themselves introduce them slowly at first, depending on how many you plan on using it’ll help to ease the player into the pace you’re gonna set. Have random ones toss out mushrooms sparingly to help keep the player alive but not to the point where you’re constantly damage boosting.
So less enemies? I originally had the sub level as an optional thing but decided later on to make it mandatory and never really added to it.

The aesthetics and attention to detail are really good in both of those levels.
After careful deliberation, i decided to make a sequel to my most played level.

Yeah, less of them, but have their placement be well thought out so the level stays difficult: A bit of trial & error on your own should do

This was my first level and I mainly wanted to test out my most wanted features: Snow levels, slopes, and 3D World. It's pretty easy and has 3 secrets (one is just a hidden block, though).
Super Smash Bros. Maker:

Fight Mario series reps on SSB-inspired stages like NSMBU, Peach's Castle 64, Delfino Plaza, and Final Destination! This level counts on you being able to survive for a few seconds before the items you need show up.
