whatever you do, don't get the lite, the Joycons on both drift easily after a few months use, and with lite it will be much harder to deal with that problem

A switch plush WILL happen but after halfway through this gen, this is how the console market works.
Do you want to play Switch games so badly you can't wait for that? Get a Switch, if you can wait, just wait.
I personally couldn't wait anymore 4 days after BotW came out, that and Mario Odyssey made it worth it alone. Keep in mind it will gather dust for a bunch of months every so often, I personally don't mind because I'm busy as fuck, but this can be a dealbreaker.
