Enjoying it? Why, I can't get enough of it! Super Mario Maker 2 has consumed hours upon hours of my daily routine, and I just popped in God Eater 3 and I've masturbated to my main character at least 4 times since I got it! And Dragon Quest Builders 2? Ha! Forget about it! I've heard great things though. Nothing but amazing things about Dragon Quest Builders 2. Very soon I'll have to buy Ultimate Alliance 3 and Kill La Kill for my Nintendo Switch as well. I'll basically buy anything I see in a goddamn ad! Haha!!!

There was a big lul in good games between Mario Odyssey and Mario Maker 2 but now that MM2 is out and there are a bunch of huge releases coming up between now and next summer I pretty happy again.

Been playing SRW T while looking aftet my gramps today. Watching the El Dora Folk, Tetsuya and Black MightGaine wreck everything is great.
My jig came today too, so I'm gonna have a go at hacking it today. Firdt priority is getting SRW T's DLC, and DGB2. Maybe Bayo 1 as well just to play it on the loo and be super comfy.

I would say it's kinda hard, but it was the first time I've done something like this. You can find sticks packs on Amazon for around $15 that include everything you need, like the screwdrivers, tweezers for the ribbon cables and such.

Just be patient. The left Joy-con is considered the easy one and it took me all the afternoon. The right Joycon was easier for me, since I already did the other one.

Unfortunately the pro controller is probably the best controller for the switch. I fucking hate it though, thumb sticks are just a tiny bit too wide and its not really practical for a lot of games, no aux input for audio, it lasts a really long time though, about 10 times longer than my DS4.

Triwing screwdrivers are standard for opening anything Nintendo. I've replaced a few joycon sticks and it's not actually that bad, only takes 15 minutes or so if you are methodical and careful. If you have muffinhands don't bother, you'll tear a ribbon cable and be left with a dead joycon.

Yes I'm a total switchfag. I super buy into the handheld aspect of it and almost never dock it, Now I'm happy to have one that'll live in my dock, and one that's more portable so I can bring fantastic games the 3DS would never get along with places.
Everyone complains about new games being shit and it's true. Old games are where my nostalgia lives, and it makes it handheld so I can enjoy it small chunks among my busy adult life.

Diving into ink really adds more than you think it would. It's fun to get into the ink with a bucket, pop up and fry someone, then back into the ink. Makes defensive play pretty fun.

Mario Maker 2 is obviously fantastic but anything that's multiplat I just can't justify it anymore with it being handheld. The framerate and graphics take too big of a hit now for Switch. I tried the Dragon Quest Builders 2 demo on Switch and immediately purchased the PS4 version. I made the right choice since that one doesn't chug every five seconds for such a basic looking building game. I honestly thought they'd announce an upgraded Switch alongside the new portable only one but I guess not. I am pretty excited for Astral Chain though. I hope it turns out to be pretty good.

Haven't played mine since January, my fa vote games for it are all online focused and I refuse to pay. Smash was when I last enjoyed it, and that got dull for me after I got through a bunch of spirit battles.

I was thinking of getting this because I can't reliably use the stick to do smash attacks in ultimate with the itty bitty joycons. It's 22 yurobucks less than the pro controller.

Splatfests are fucking shit, the only fun to have in Splatoon 2 is in ranked and salmon runs, which are still ongoing so I'd say go for it. There probably won't be a Splatoon 3 until Nintendo's next console

Splatoon 1 still has a solid playerbase. The only thing you are gonna miss out on with 2 is splatfests which are all fun and great but its not something MAJOR. You wont have any trouble finding matches and having fun, and the story mode/salmon run/story expansion are all a great time. We have no idea when splatoon 3 will come out but I'd say its safe to think it wont be for a couple of years at the least.

Yep, kind of. Even though it's a pretty underpowered console, it still has more memorable games than PS4 and Xbox One combined. If you like games, the Switch is the only correct choice. My PS4 is just gathering dust and there's nothing to play besides the ocassional weeaboo game like Nier: Automata or P5

CFW scene is better than the Switch by far. I mostly just use it to replay R&C and Sly.
RetroArch on the Vita is busted (but I don't expect any less from the idiots who made it), but there's plenty of standalone emulators available.
PS1 & PSP eboot loading is a little awkward but I think there's a way to make them appear as bubbles on the homescreen.
If you've got Nvidia drivers, Moonlight streaming is surprisingly good.

Vita doesn't have PS2 emulation and does not have the hardware capable of doing so, so don't bother to ask.

No, Splatfests are only a fraction of the entire game. You spend most of your time playing Salmon Run or Ranked anyway. I don't really count Turf War since the lobbies are just toddlers jumping around and not painting.

slightly disappointed by these controllers, I can't wholeheartedly recommend them as the dpad is mediocre and the shoulder buttons are pretty awful. Gyro is excellent, though, I'll give it that.

exact one I have as well, I've heard it's been discontinued (at least in this design, don't know if there's any difference with technical specs for the other versions though); as I said in this post I was slightly disappointed by the quality. Price was cheap when I got it, although I'm not sure I could recommend full price for one. I've also had issues with bluetooth pairing before, particularly connecting to a switch that already has a couple controllers connected to it.

Another bizarre thing I've noticed is its inputs are extremely delayed in some menus in splatoon 2, eventually going back to normal after the game complains to me about failing to scan amiibo (8bitdo controllers don't even support NFC)

What annoys me though isn't the quality of the controller itself, as it's overall adequate and the positives generally outweigh the negatives, but the fucking shilling for these things is insane. Seems like every major youtuber is praising them as the "best switch controller" and other such bold claims, and I just don't see how you can say that with a straight face tbqh.

For me the issues are the rumble and the connectivity issue can be annoying. The dpad is ok, much better than the joycons.

It's only the best one for games that are supposed to be played with a dpad, say Mario Maker or Shantae, its mediocre for the rest, if not plain bad.

the dpad honestly isn't very good though, it's too sensitive for down inputs and I know I'm not the only one affected by this. Maybe I got a bad batch or something, I don't know, not like I can return it although I could potentially fix it myself with tape. I find myself accidentally crouching in mario maker sometimes, granted this doesn't happen often. The strongpoints of the controller are the face buttons, sticks, and gyros - the rest is quite disappointing.

it's a simpler, more robust version of the switch that is probably less likely to have something break and, let's face it, you don't have any friends to play smash with in the living room and your parents are ashamed of watching you play your babby games on the family TV and would prefer if you just had a handheld system that you played in your room

Mostly convenience. The Wii U needs more space with the gamepad and it's charger. And my last TV died while playing it now I'm afraid to hook it up again.

look up is my switch patched, type in the beginning portion of your serial, if it's not patched and you don't play it online hack your switch and play all the wii ports for free.

Smash for 80 hours. I need help. I wasn’t even enjoying playing online yesterday with Pokémon trainer, i need to take a break honestly

The combat is really fun, the soundtrack is amazing and the presentation is fantastic.
However, the storyline is a clusterfuck and actually hinders the game's pacing and progression a bit. Not bad, but pretty confusing and convoluted, especially the first playthrough.
Thoroughly recommend it, tho.

sometimes my joycons get de-synced when im using handheld mode with the joycons plugged in, it makes no sense. usually I can unattach them and put them back on and it'll figure it out, but it really interrupts the game. any help? other than that I love my switch cant wait for animal crossing

ebay is also a decent place to look, i got my last switch on there. It was brand new and came in good working order. On original 1.0.0 firmware so totally unpatched. Paid less than a new switch goes for after taxes. Most people are charging a premium on there though I won mine in an auction.
