user, you might be retarded. RE5 is far better than 6. great game for co-op and repeated plays.
RE6 was a well-polished turd. some of the finest/smoothest mechanics in any TPS i've played, but all of the campaigns are absolute shit. that games only saving grace lies in its Mercenaries mode.
Man Luigis Mansion 3 really is the only thing I'm getting this year huh.
Atleast the Switch is getting games now. I guess I just kinda expected a larger output of first party stuff by this point with all of Nintendos Devs on one system instead of two

Let me make something clear: I consider both RE5 and 6 to be abominations that should've never been made. They're a disgrace both as RE games, and as video games in general. When stripped to their core essentials, aka just the gameplay, ignorins everything else about the games because it's all shit anyway, RE6 has better gameplay. As such, RE6 wins between the two. No other element aside the pure gameplay interests me in both games, because if i wanted to play an actual good RE game, or a good game in general, i'd play any other RE game.
I'll go as far as to say that i unironically prefer Resident Evil Gaiden to RE5. I unironically would rather play Resident Evil Survivor from start to finish 10 times in a row than replay RE5 even a single time. That's how much i despise that shitty ass game.

i think you're a little too misguided by your perception of what an RE game should be. while neither are what i want from an RE game, 5 was still a great game all around, and 6 was mediocre on every level except for the gameplay, which only Mercs took full advantage of. i'd rather look at them for what they are, not what i expected by prior entries in the series.
