I haven't played world since launch, is it worth reinstalling it? There were so many issues with long ass load times and shit because of the network connectivity that it was just unbearable after I beat xeno.

Connectivity is fixed for the most part and instead of having to wait 3 months for the post-launch content to be drip-fed to you it cycles in and out every week with a big event with all quests coming every 3 months instead. It's not half bad.

Gun mechanics got kind of fucked in general. I understand they probably did this since we can now move while firing but still.

Although, we pretty much got the Limter Off benefits for both guns (outside of being able to reload all of them at once), HBG shields became a lot more useful than they did before at least, and even benefit off guard skills. For consistency reasons I think that's fine, but stuff like special ammo is lost potential and it's not even that powerful enough for most TA autists from what I've seen. Otherwise I think LBG/HBG doubled down on their differences so LBG is safe as houses but HBG will always have better capacity + damage.

Go back to mount and blade faggot flash + substance is best combination.

I don't like that I need to adapt my old ass LBG fighting style because of MHW retarded decisions but whatever, I will just have to get used to it, but shit's fucked up, I hope they fix it on MH6 because Iceborne won't do shit about it.

I don't like what they did to some other weapons. GS is fine but it's like a different weapon, Hammer has no super armor by default for whatever reason, and SnS feels really floaty and finicky to use in MHW - plus that fall into shield bash stuff doesn't feel great either. However, the SA and CB changes in MHWI are promising, the former finally got a more reliable defensive option and less shitty axe mode while CB potentially may not devolve into SAED spam this time. That and LS Foresight Slash apparently got nerfed which sounds good, HH looks to be alright too but they should've gone with Frontier's monster debuff songs.

Is because bottom has no colors, MHW in general has only a boring shade of gray for everything.

Look into getting an earplugs set later if it's too much of a problem while further into the game, FU plays with 3-4 skills on a set but HGE is very enabling especially on GS/Hammer. Also if Diablos roars three times in a row, you'll get stunned.

In low rank I think it was Garuga who had a fairly nice earplugs set, although Rath Souls is alright but Demonic Protection is the compromise for bumping up to HGE using decorations. In high rank I just made do with the Ceanataur S set and nothing else.

valor makes it when you sheathe you enter a stance that drains your stamina and hp, if you get hit during it you do an automatic dodge and your gauge fills up. you can also fill up the gauge with certain attacks depending on each weapon.

once the gauge is at max you get access to a very good dodge, new moves and different mechanics. for LS you don't have any other spirit gauge other than blue and you get it once you max out the gauge. it's stronger than red and you also get access to a strong ass guard point in the spirit combo

that sounds like a pretty drastic change compared to the original three styles, finding out what it does to other weapons are going to be a pain in the ass

Those two are pretty bad examples. Dalamadur is huge and huge monsters like that eat up a disproportionate amount of development resources and time. The huge monster already in World sucks complete dick and at some point during development up to half of the entire team were working on it in some capacity. It’d be the same for Dalamadur, just not worth it in the end like they learned this time with Zorah. Ahtal-Ka’s gimmick is what prevents him from being implemented, becoming a fucking mecha fortress monster would put him in the same boat as Dalamadur, too much manpower and time required to get him working and not shit in a reasonable amount of time.

fighting dalamandur was a blast in mh4u. it was pure awesomeness landing a jump, attack, land, sideways swing on a fleshy bit with the GS and getting like a million hits with so much hitstop on them one of the only times I felt like the hitstop was good feeling the weight of those fuckhueg GS attacks

Pixiv changed the rules on who owns the pictures. so everyone is only using pixiv for samples now and directing everyone to twitter for freebies, and premium sites for original art.

That's been happening for at least two years now. The exodus only happened when they changed the EULA to include changes to ownership of content hosted on the site.
Basically if you don't have Pixiv Premium, or use one of the fanbox options, then anything you post on Pixiv is property of Pixiv. You have to pay Pixiv in order to own the things you post on Pixiv now - so all the Japanese users are pulling out and only putting up standard fan art that can't be monetized, watermarked samples, or stuff related to Pixiv's events like their big fantasy series.

Most japs I follow still upload the high quality original to pixiv though. Twitter's compression is dogshit.

Chances are they're a premium user. Last I checked there were some legal workarounds that artists were using that include having the Pixiv work be a secondary host, so if they upload it elsewhere first then it's technically not published by Pixiv as a platform.
Most of the established artists aren't really in any danger though, and the danger is related primarily to original works. That's why you have a lot of artists that used to post original comics to pixiv start posting them on twitter first.

I don't think it's relevant to compare the amount of Pokemon when again, they had no qualms with releasing previous games where nearly every Pokemon is available, with or without the National Dex. Frontier players through a shitfit over Hypnocatrice and Lavasioth in Freedom Unite since they were the only exclusive monsters besides Espinas they had at the time and they felt like they were being ripped off paying a subscription for what was essentially one monster that couldn’t be accessed in any other title. It was so polarising that they just refused to share monsters after that, until like 2013 or so when Frontier started adding third and fourth gen monsters. Hypnocatrice hasn’t reappeared since FU but Lavasioth is pretty much considered mainline now.
