Maybe thanks to Denis Villeneuve's trilogy and series in 2020, Dune becomes the new fad such that normies get drawn to it, so any videogame studio will want to capitalise on it.

>Cast blind on boss
>He gets a massive power boost
Who is balancing this shit? Blizzard?

Because every time someone mentions Dune they post giant sand worms and reading the wiki it seems like that's all that it's about so I don't see the point.

Imagine being Lato II and using your body to mush Tleilaxu face dancers into a bloody ocean of pulp

goat ost

Because Dune II cannot be topped.

What is the series about? All I've seen was a scene where some people were hopping from rock to rock trying to avoid sand.

If you're into RTS you can get Open RA to play some Dune 2
It doesn't have the cinematics though but you can watch them on youtube if you want, there's lots of political shit other than big cocks from the sand.

dune 2 and dune 2000 were both really good
i'd gladly play sequels

You mean the books?

>God Emperor of Dune gameplay
>200 hours of listening Leto's autistic monologue
I'd play it

Space nuns, religion, mankind's destiny, space, sand worms and shit.

Was it Kevin Bacon?

Spice is a hell of a drug

I didn't realize games had to pander to you specifically, what's it like having that sort of power?

The ending of Messiah is the best part of the series.

it was an incredibly obscure book series where only one book ever got popular and resembled anything remotely near "good".
if anything we should be glad for the 80's movie and spawning the real-time strategy genre plus the 2 games that came out of that but thats about it.

>highest selling sci-fi series of all time
>tremendous impact on Star Wars and thus all modern sci-fi
>obscure

based retard does it again!

>Dune messiah gameplay
>this, happens
legit gave me a chuckle when I was reading it and Paul tells irulan: you can cuckold me if you want

Human evolution in a future without computers, but where religion is important. Certain people develop superhuman powers like changing their own chemical composition or possessing other people with their voice. Also Lawrence of Arabia in space.

Ignore him, he's most likely from (((CHOAM))).

Games like Homeworld and Alpha Centauri remind me a lot of Dune. Homeworld has a few references to Dune (Kharak/Arrakis) plus this cutscene from Deserts of Kharak reminds me of Dune Messiah.

Alpha Centauri took some inspiration from Dune with the quotes from fictional non-fiction works throughout, I think Brian Reynolds mentioned Dune as an inspiration along with some other stuff.

Yeah I think it was.

I mistook Dune for Tremors. Whoops.

>no Dune VN where you play as a Duncan Idaho ghola telling everyone you're not their stud whilst impregnating everything that moves except Siona
>make the wrong choices and you die and come back as a new ghola
>Leto is best girl

Meant Children of Dune not Dune Messiah whoops

>tfw no dune 7 instead his dumbass kid writes a LOL HUMAN BRAINS IN ROBOTS WOOOOOOAH~ young adult fanfiction

Goosebumps, especially when I think of his triad at the plaza during sianoq.

>finally get a crysknife
>have to level up my dagger skill to actually use the thing
Don't get me started on mount training....

Dune has not been relevant in 50 years and it won't magically be overnight

>Dune
>Dune Messiah
>Children of Dune
>God Emperor of Dune
>Heretics of Dune
>Chapterhouse: Dune
>Dune: Absolution
>Dun3
>Dune 9: Origins
>DUNE

Fucking hell Frank take it easy

"My name is a killing word" is a close contender. ugh I still hate the movie for ruining that line by turning it into some laser beam attack. Lynch is usually good but that movie felt like a lame attempt to copy star wars

There's a pretty high chance Lucas saw Jodorowsky's art book that made its way around Hollywood. Wouldn't be surprised if Kurtz had it copied.

It was good.
