Yes, because it’s not healthy to be obsessively longing for things that you can’t have for this many years. Plus, if you’ve ever seen ANY test footage of Dinosaur Planet compared to SFA, the games were pretty much identical anyway. There’s no guarantee DP wouldn’t have been just as unfinished or disappointing in the end, especially since it was confirmed to have the same bait-and-switch final boss.

It's not wrong, but like said a considerable chunk of it is very similar to the final game just going by the hour-long footage out there. I'd love to be able to compare the two, but ultimately making it a Gamecube game really did the whole thing favors, also I went from PS1 to Gamecube so I wouldn't have played it back then if they kept it as a late N64 game.

To be fair, the relevation of Drakor being the real villain of the game was something that the player would gradually and eventually find out in the game, the reveal wasn't going to be literally at the last minute like with Andross. General Scales was supposed to have a boss fight with Krystal.

I still think that Star Fox Adventures would have been better with more emphasis on the weird mix of technology and magic. Go a Star Trek route where the introduction of technology to this world has completely fucked up the natural evolution. Fox chooses to use minimal tech to avoid further damage. Slowly you uncover that the introduction of tech occurred when Andross sent his army to study the magic. This builds to the final reveal that he was studying the magic in case he ever needed to resurrect himself.
