When it comes to anyone else, yes it's bullshit.
When it comes to New Jack, it's 100% legit.
The guy doesn't feel anything anymore in most of his body, between the drugs and damage to his nerves.
If you shoot him he'll eventually bleed out but won't really feel the pain of the gunshot itself.
This isn't "oh he's so fucking tough bro", it's more like "his body is already fucked to the point where he's completely numb".
