No, they are a needed evil.

They're not. Not worse than Ebay.

Would you trust some random guy on eBay, claiming to have a Steam code for sale? Well, not only are you doing just that with keysellers, but you are giving them your credit card and personal information.

You certainly are for remaking this thread 4 times a day

Yes, but the real garbage is the braindead drooling retards not understanding why they are and buying single player games thinking they're doing something right.
I can understand buying multiplayer games that only work through Stam, but just fucking pirate otherwise.

Yes, goys, I mean guys, Activision needs your money!

Every argument for key theft is easily dismissed.

>they steal keys with stolen credit cards
Chargbacks would cause the key to be disabled

>the developers don't wanna shut the keys down due to backlash
Retarded argument. Key resellers would get all the flack. Devs would love to do this.

>people buy the keys from places that don't tie the card to the key
That's the places fault for not taking such a basic security measure

>devs give them away for reviews
They gave them away. Their fault. Steam has guides on how to avoid getting scammed like this.

>devs get a little bit less money
With the digital distribution, and inflation factored in, games should be 20% less expensive today than they were 20 years ago. Devs can go fuck themselves.

No, they are based. The MUH STOLEN KEYZ is gaslighting for the fact that 99% of the keys are from humble, regional pricing, or the treasure trove of keys indieshit devs give out to try and circumvent steam's 30% cut.

>claiming
Trusted sellers are a thing.

steam shills want you to buy directly from steam
they love to shit on any other outlet

>KCD DLC is 10€ during the summer sale
>5€ on G2a all year around
LMFAO *BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP*

>pay “influencers” to give your site praise and whiteknight against criticism, but specifically tell them to mention they’re not getting paid to do so
>Yea Forums will defend this
Yeah, “they’re good guys” alright.

>forming your opinion based on the opinion of others

I'm more willing to believe the developers over the people running the website.

This is the correct reply. It's a marketplace, where the odds of getting scam are a reality vs. retailers and online stores. It would simply cease to exist if nobody wanted to take such a risk.

I like seeing devs of indies crying about g2a even to the point of suggesting people pirate games instead. I'm sure the 50 keys sold is really lifestyle changing.

yes the service they offer is literally pointless and only exists to steal money from people who are ignorant of the difference between sites like g2a and authorized resellers like green man gaming.
If you actually care about paying for video games you buy then G2A is a bad service for you as none of your money is going to go to the devs of your game, since most g2a keys are accuired using stolen credit cards and other scummy means
if you are someone who doesnt give a fuck about paying for your game then G2A is a bad service for you as you have to pay for something you can easily pirate for free.
G2A is simply a parasitic blight on the secondary game key market, the truth is they are scalpers of the purest form, people are just too blind to see it because all they care about is that their prices are lower than the ones on steam

this
fuck devs

ok? like i said even if your mantra is "fuck devs" why the hell would you use G2A? you can easily find anything they sell for free online. literally burning your money

so I can (((own it))), get updates without any hassle and play multiplayer
wow that was hard

could not give a fuck, cheap gaymes for me

I use them if they give me better deals than Steam or GoG.
I don't give a shit about Devs, I'm not their baby sitters.

That's okay user.
The chinese already have it.

This. It's literally just a middleman. It's like blaming craigslist because someone you talked to there and met up with mugged you instead of selling you that used dreamcast you wanted.

Besides, publishers are just using the whole "muh credit card fraud" boogeyman as an excuse. The real reason they don't like it is for the same reason publishers have been trying to destroy used game sales. Because it's people getting a LEGITMATE product for cheaper. If I already own a game but then end up getting another copy of it through a graphics card bundle or humble indie bundle or something like that, why the fuck wouldn't I resell that to someone who doesn't yet have the game, or just someone who wants it when I don't? But no, devs want me to sit on that extra key, and for the other person to have to pay full MSRB instead.

If many people use it over time it massively hurts gaming. If you need insurance to make sure you get a working key something is up. Imo piracy is better. At least some of it is run by idealists that want to share for the sake of sharing. G2A is a front for crime. Im not giving them my personal info lol.

No, it's just a market.

I use them occasionally when I want a game with multiplayer or cloud saves.

Nope, it's a classic case of bugmen projection coming from the shovelware indie shit crowd.

>Be indie shit bug man
>Send free keys to people without vetting them
>People put 5 keys up on G2A
>Bug man loses his mind and tries to create drama for free advertisement
>Bug man also does not like people selling keys from bundles
>Bug man thinks that if you buy a bundle you should be forced to keep the keys you don't want
>Bug man knows that people will just sell off his shovelware shit from bundles for a dollar because it's shovelware shit

They're based.

I also use g2a. Fuck whiny faggot devs. Maybe they should stop bitching and moaning then I would say "hey these devs deserve my money"
Until then I will just choose the cheapest option

I struggle to form an opinion on the topic because both sides of the argument sound like they are paid off by someone

yes
they are some polish shits who want to ruin gaming
