The problem with the base game is what said. The actual combat/random encounters/exploration/dungeon segments should have been the main focus, with towns being places to buy gear, take NPC quests and such. Instead it feels like 3/4ths of the content in both CoC and TiTs are in major cities/towns and the combat/exploration segments have been shunted to the side. things you occasionally have to deal with to get to more "interesting dialogue choices" with NPCs. Option 1: skip directly to sex
Option 2: Receive lore dump then get a handjob
Option 3: Get buttfucked
Option 4: Take drug that gives you hyper donut anus then get buttfucked (changes nothing in the actual scene)

So my first play through took me 3 days to understand the game in full. (Give it time it's annoying but once you get it it's a a headslapper easy).
After a point in the game if you invest in taking over other Cities you will pump money from them into you and later fix them for even more cash flow.
Also early on keep light and try to push for Paternalist because the game rewards you (Easier) for everyone liking each other over maybe a harder run of making all salves lives hell.
With the Mod you will start off confused but the game will over time become more "Oh duh" if you stick to one course of action over trying to make your cities all different right off the bat.
Also Invest in Security early to make up for silly attacks and story attacks.
More Hoes aren't needed in your start up they are only a stress to keep happy. Over just keeping a few making light money and working on your city in general.

I didn't read the thread but I'll give you the real answer. What happened to CoC is the same thing that happened to their TiTs game; they let the shitty half of their shitty community control the content. CoC was mostly user added stuff, so that pretty much explains why the majority of the girls were basically furries or had dicks. There was also the fact that some authors would release okay girls but the rest of the community would either pull for a force change or act out until they caved. I believe it was the thing about giving/removing that one Shark girl's dick was one big example. The author was against it because it would change his char but Fenoxo let the community decide for a char he himself didn't make and added the new additions, which made the original creator of the char leave. This is why that specific char stopped getting content after that update for her was made, because he was the one writing her stuff. There was another thing about a pig girl that had a completely different story but the community shat themselves over it and the creator of that char caved and changed it, then also left quietly. TiTs was on a similar boat. The game was mostly patreon focused so it came down to what the backers cried about, and since the shitty end is the loudest and most paying... yeah. Real mind break stuff (Steph) got neutered because the community cried at how dark it was and made the author weaken it to be more "consensual" in nature and less having her fucked and modified into a true permaslut Taimanin Asagi style. There was another thing regarding surprise incest where the player could choose to fuck a chick you meet and then find out she was your half-sister later, only being incest if you chose to hit it before knowing. They cried about that too and the whole point of it being a plot surprise was removed so that the game would warn you the moment the option to fuck her came up. If you're using Chrome I think you need to fuck with some settings. I had problems with /f/ a year back or so since flash is no longer being supported. Try Googling around, it helped me find the solution, though I forget exactly what fixed it. I think it had to do with Chrome's settings if that helps.

Pretty much every mod/reimagining of this game by the players and communities surrounding it fix a lot of the game's issues, complete it storylines and add new ones as well as getting more and more out-there with existing fetishes and introducing ones you didn't think you had.

Most of its problems stem from everything being a horse-dicked furry and a lot of the good shit is a one-and-done type of deal (looking at you, harpy dungeon). There are a lot of limitations on what you can do, and unless you're a futa/herm you miss out on the bulk of what the game has to offer while what it does have isn't explored enough; no goblin harem, no pet kangaroo demon, etc.

The game doesn't reward moralfags enough since the entire point is getting corrupted and going nuts with your eight different cocks and fucking everything in sight, but the vanilla experience is painfully shallow and there's not really a way to merge the more popular iterations fans and other communities have come up with. Corruption of Champions is a pretty good text-based fap with a lot of room for improvement; Fenoxo's just taken the Bethesda route and let other people do the work for free.

All that said, Tamani and her daughters are one of the best encounters in my opinion, along with the imp raid and corrupted Amily is the best follower.

It's text only, with the exception being some 8-bit pixel art sprites in the corner.
You can mix and match various morph parts, or at least try to, though it'll take a lot of time and money to get your perfect build.
