Medics can carry the game quite well, actually. The only thing they need is a heavy who isn't a total retard.
Spies are great for two reasons: takes out problem players easily and can take out engineer trash.

The problem in pub games is typically 2-3 good players need to be raped non-stop to either get them to leave or make them change class.

i agree about medics, but spy is the shittiest class in the game and not even a god-tier spy is capable of carrying unless both teams are bad. a good sniper is ten times more capable and i would rather have a good demo/soldier/scout on my team than a great spy.

Any 'problem player' that gets killed by the same spy more than twice is a shitter, period. What's a spy gonna do about a god tier scout or soldier that's jumping around all the time? not to mention you just have to look behind every once in a while, sniper is THE class for picks.

All your favorite community servers are now dead if they aren't run by the retards at Skial, casual matchmaking doesn't even have all of the maps enabled to search for, and the community can't even communicate between themselves anymore since all-talk is disabled on Valve servers, and so are sprays and mods.

It's the same game as ever. It's a bit harder to find community servers nowadays but it's still possible to find good ones, or ones running stuff like Wacky Races, you just have to look harder.

Competitive matchmaking is functionally broken, do not use it. There are 50 players on it peak-hours and half of those are people putting aimbots on comp matches to fuck with people.

Play medic or engi. As medic use vaccinator to pop a bunch of ubers before round starts for free points, and DONT FUCKING POCKET. As engi, your points primarily come from teleporting, so make sure to keep your tele in service as long as possible.

I still don't get why points get counted pre-game.
