Which games had the best soundtracks? SMT/Persona games (Meguro), Final Fantasy games (Nobuo), or Dragon Quest games (Sugiyama)? Or any other games that you think somehow have a better soundtrack than those three masterpiece series.

Final Fantasy by a huge margin.
Nearly every game has SOME great tracks... among countless shit ones.
but in FF nearly every single track is great (at least up to FF9)
The real question here is: Tifa or death meat? You can only fug one and the other will receive the long sword of a bishonen boy.
The Castlevania series has the overall best music of any video game franchise
I'd put it at TWEWY for the sheer breadth of songs
Who cares? Post more slutty FF girls.

It should be illegal for a game’s soundtrack to be this good

>(at least up to FF9)
FF10s soundtrack blew 9s out of the water. FF8s is the best objectively, then 10.
I want to cum in tifa's fat armpits
Recently, for me I enjoyed Persona 5, Nier: Automata, KH3 and Hellion Sounds SMT stuff
Silent Hill 1-3 desu senpai.
FF soundtracks have too much downtime with filler songs that are only really interesting to listen to in their original context.

10/10
Though if they ever remaster it either fix the demonic screeching or just remove it outright
literally any ace combat game has a better soundtrack, seriously. ace combat 7 has the best OST of the past decade
Ridge Racer
I do love almost all Blaze’s version in Sonic Rush

I can’t decide whether I should marry Aerith or Tifa
I typed this up in a discussion about battle music in an FF IX thread, which died, so I'm reposting it here.
I'd discount Jenova as being a genuine female, since it's really a weird space entity that assumes a human female form and reproductively is more like a strange plague. I adore J-E-N-O-V-A, mentally lodging it as a "surreal space-alien paranormal attack" theme like this piece from TSA:

Never played Bravely Default. Listening to Serpent eating the ground (great name) - not bad, one of those tracks that isn't my central cup of tea but is very close and still good. Is this Uematsu's work? There's a bridge bit that sounds really, really Uematsu. I'm otherwise reminded of several tracks from La Mulana. (incidentally, some good themes associated with females in there).
I hadn't listened to The Extreme in years, pretty much forgotten about it. In this case, it's a good theme but doesn't register as a fight theme until it gets to the retro remix part, at which point it's, well, a remix of an older theme associated with general battles. The piano bit around 3:32 is the best part, otherwise a little too slow and loose for a top grade fight theme.
>variation of Loss Me
Contra-contra; Loss of Me registers as a neat variation of Sword of Doubt, which is the central track, the awe-inspiring tension and drama of Beatrice as this lethal, duty bound figure that works for a usurping evil out of a duty to her kingdom. It may be a predictable and trite plot point for a piece of Japanese media, but it's executed marvelously. "Doubt" is very much conjured by the tension, the high emptiness of the early phase of the song before it plunges into the strumming gallop of the second phase, timed to the point when Beatrice wipes the floor with your party in the very first encounter. Art is all very personal, but that moment had a codifying brilliance, an inspiring "ah, THIS is important" to myself playing FFIX as a child.
