What can they do to make BOTW2 feel like a real sequel despite taking place in the same game world? Nintendo has rehashed plenty in the past, but games like Galaxy 2 and Majora's Mask actually had a new world or levels.
I really look forward to a sequel but I'm having trouble imagining how interesting it could be.
Breath of the Wild 2: Electric Boogaloo
we know almost nothing about it. you're pissing in the wind, user.
Make the game use time travel and explore Hyrule before it was destroyed, and expand on the ancient civilization lore
Have it set a year or two after BotW, have the ruined towns, especially Castle town be under construction. Lots of Bolson’s LEGO houses everywhere and more npcs showing the world being repopulated
I have enough for one Switch game. Should I get BOTW, Mario Odyssey, or Astral Chain?
>What can they do to make BOTW2 feel like a real sequel despite taking place in the same game world?
Imagine being so devoid of imagination that you can't figure out an answer to this yourself. Just wait for more info, faggot.
Merely speculation in the absence of information. Very common in all forms of media discussion, only Yea Forums could manage to throw a fit over it.
- Temples rising from the ground, reshaping the landscape (like the great plateau and Hyrule Castle at the end of the teaser)
- Underwater content
- include Minish
- new enemies + overworld "bosses"
Wala.
>triple the amount of enemy variety
>if shrines make a return make them actually feel like part of the environment instead of a giant glowing turd that sticks out from the landscape that can be seen from 10 Miles away
>make the shrines longer to beat (about 15 minutes) but make like half as many as the last game
>longer proper temples as opposed to divine beasts which had practically no challenge and could be beaten in 10 minutes
I'm not so sure it will take in the same game world, honestly. We can't say for certain it will, at least.
NOOO! WE NEED TO MAKE A 5 HOUR VIDEO ABOUT A 30 SECONDS TEASER! NOOO! MOM SAID IT IS MY TIME TO PLAY XBOX! NOOOOOOO!
I don't know, the same thing as Majora's Mask?
There's a big difference between shooting and editing an overextended YouTube video and an user spending ten seconds greentexting some ideas.
>Make these abstract strange technologies a part of the environment
You got the tism or something lad?
I just want more interesting runes so shrines can be more fun. I realized the problem I had with shrines wasn't that they existed, but the tools we were given to use throughout the whole game were essentially based around physics.
I would like runes that function more like weapons and items from the previous Zelda games.
They don’t need to be called shrines anymore but their purpose in the game could be the same. Like doing some puzzle in the overworld that you discover on a mountain or something and then you open a cave in the cliffface and walk in and then inside it’s like a mini dungeon just like shrines except it doesn’t look ugly on the inside
remove the obsession with "oh the player should be able to do any part of the game at any time" since it gave you three abilities up front and then dumbed down the rest of the game.
give us REAL dungeons, the kind where you need keys to unlock doors, need a boss key to finish, need to find a map and compass, where you need to find a piece of gear inside to complete.
Yes, it is okay if we find a dungeon early and can't get in because we don't have a super boomerang or some shit from a dungeon we were supposed to do earlier, the game lets you warp everywhere anyways.
They already confirmed it's just all their DLC ideas put into one game so it's a confirmed rehash
Have them go 10,000 years in the past so they can explore some ancient ruins and stop a tyrannical Ganondorf from fucking everything up (which will explain how he was sealed in that cave). Once they find their way back to the present, have them face off once again against a newly revived Ganondorf.
Majora's Mask style transformations. Zora Link and Goron Link would be fun as fuck in a BotW sized world. Plus flying as Rito Link.
Literally Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric.
Fuck off, nostalgiafag. "Real" dungeons were just as dumbed down as the ones in BotW if not even more so.
>Learn about what happened 10k years ago
>Demise/Ganon got so mad he merged the timelines out of sheer anger
>This will explain why we have shit from every timeline
Make it so Aonuma!
I expectativas to be like dark souls 1, since it looks like the story and gameplay will be taking place in the underground of hyrule, probably a hyrule of a different time period, even before calamity ganon.
>and then dumbed down the rest of the game.
Right
I want to see the more classic dungeon style but without the handholding of the shittier games like WW and SS.
>add caves/underground areas
>9 dungeons like hyrule castle scattered around the world
>more unique shrines/side quests like the Master Trials and Eventide
>add TP combat options but make them actually required in a fight instead of optional
It's not hard to do. Also please Nintendo add some fucking hot key's for health items so you can't just spam food when you get hit.
I want this so fucking bad. The whole point of the game is exploration and with it confirmed to take place in the same Hyrule, I can't imagine how they'll differentiate it without a major time shift.
>I'm having trouble imagining how interesting it could be.
Perhaps have a look at A Link Between Worlds then.
>I can't imagine how they'll differentiate it
Its like you've never played a Zelda game.
On one hand, fair. On the other hand,
>same Hyrule
