Smash ultimate. gets shown off at e3, Steve wants to be in smash, however a mysterious circumstance causes his body to separate into 3 different steves. the grotesque steve, the good steve, and the peculiar steve. the good steve and peculiar steve all joined forces in order to get into smash bros. he gathered several allies like Incineroar, Katalina and Sora so he could overtake all the boomer characters who wanted to be in. they made a fake leak, featuring grotesque steve, and thus steve made his mark on the speculation dimension. Eventually he allied with Ken after he was leaked via screenshot. on the other hand, the boomer characters kept trying to make their mark in trying to get in, but the evil spirit known as Vergeben kept denying them with his sources and steve was in the front lines of getting in smash. soon the war between the zoomer characters and boomer characters soon begun.
Simon Belmont, and K. Rool were able to escape (they brought along richter, chrom and dark samus from the speculation dimension) and Isabelle managed to get out during the aftermath of the battle without anyone's knowing. the boomers were falling behind and losing the battle now that K. Rool and Belmont weren't with them anymore, several boomer characters were dying. Grotesque steve eventually became supreme overlord, spamming the Yea Forums dimension with shitposts and copypastas, good steve was getting worried about his brother becoming more malformed and distorted and peculiar steve didn't seem to care, there was not much that could be done. until one eventful day...
one day seemingly out of nowhere, Ken left steve's side to help the boomer characters (shantae while being zoomer, was still on the boomers side until the end). the boomer characters needed a plan to stop steve's corruption once and for all. they devised a dream team to stop steve and incineroar (steve's right hand man) Banjo-Kazooie, Isaac, Geno, Mach Rider, Chorus Kids, Ken and Shadow. they seeked out a prophet who could send out the divine leak and destroy steve: The Grinch! soon the leak was set in motion. and Steve was overthrown by the sheer amount of hype and Steve was anally vored by Grinch! however before this, steve new about their plan through a certain someone, Inspector Gadget. who was able to sneak and find out the grinch leak plan. soon it was time for the final smash bros. direct, Incineroar and Ken were able to make it through, only because Steve killed the grinch while he was inside him. Steve used his ultimate power to wipe out every boomer character ever into spirits... the grinch leak was over... the only surviver was Banjo.
after the game had released. the war still went on between Steve and Banjo, Steve wanted Ultimate power over the smash universe, Banjo wanted to avenge his boomer and grinch brothers, he was only able to save Ken and get him into the game. meanwhile the three steve's seperated parts, the Good steve and peculiar steve went missing after grotesque steve's ultimate attack, and all his allies left him, when DLC hit the line with Joker being able to leave from a blessing from sakurai eventually steve used his power to create a phenomenon called the 5ch spectacle which caused Doomguy, Erdrick, Hayabusa and Steve to join up (none of the other characters actually liked steve, but were under hypnosis by him) they beat banjo to the curb to the point where he was almost dead. even when the cubivore pig tried to help vore steve like the grinch did, steve knew how to avoid being vored. all hope seemed lost. Until Good steve managed to come in at the nick of time and help Banjo recover his wounds, he promised one day they would get in together, some of the 5ch leak characters managed to escape steve's grasp like Doomguy and Hayabusa. now the true battle begun
Steve only had Erdrick, but Erdrick was one of the most powerful characters in the speculation dimension, that it was basically a two man army, but Banjo and his allies were more than enough to at least keep him at bay to allow two characters into the DLC spots. it was a bloody battle war between good and evil, to the point where, Banjo was once again the last one standing between Erdrick and Steve. Steve was criminally insane at this point, just wanting banjo to finally fucking die forever, Erdrick was starting to realize steve's odd menerisms behind the hypnosis he told Erdrick to back off as he wanted the spot all of himself and knocked out Erdrick cold. Banjo and steve, they're in the endgame now. they fight, like real smash brothers.

(sorry i dont have the rest of the banjo vs steve comic so i have to make do with pic related, if you have the rest of the comic please let me know) BANJO VS STEVE ARC PART 2 Steve had achieved his final form, Erdrick awoke and saw the true monster that steve was, what he thought was his ally and friend was a beast of pure shitpost, Banjo and Erdrick banded together, Erdrick even summoned a portal that helled the Luminary, Eight, and Solo to assist in battle. the heroes held off steve while Banjo got an idea, to search for the spirits who allied him with the grinch: Geno, Isaac, Mach Rider, Chorus kids and Shadow, and even the Grinch himself were found thanks to Banjo's collecting prowess. Banjo absorbed the power of the grinch gang to achieve Super Banjo-Kazooie Saiyan, equal in power to final form steve.
BANJO VS STEVE PART 3 and EPILOGUE youtu.be/Ffnc1BjtdwE The true final battle ensued, Banjo and Steve fought with the DQ heroes assisting, when steve hit them they hit back, and with one mighty Grinch Leak blow... finally steve was gone, or at least his grotesque side. Banjo used almost the rest of his grinch powers to open a portal to the smash universe, he even revived Doomguy, Hayabusa, Good steve, and even opened the worlds of the west and indie dimensions to allow the chance to join him someday. Banjo returned to his normal form and told good steve he could go into the smash world with Erdrick, but good steve denied it, he told Banjo that for all that he went through of being forgotton for so long, he deserved to make a comeback in the world, Banjo payed good steve back in using his final bits of power to turn good steve into the original steve, they took a picture of eachother to remember one another. Banjo and Erdrick went through the portal, and the reign of grotesque steve was over, who is forever tormented in hell by the grinch, the peculiar steve however has been missing since the grinch leak, it's unknown what side he is on, one thing is for certain, when new evil rises in the speculation, the real Steve, Doomguy, new ally Reimu, Hayabusa and Crash Bandicoot will defend the innocent requested characters.
they're still spirited, but slowly but surely are being brought back to life from the grinch's power in the speculation dimension. who knows, they may come back faster and be able to come into Ultimate, only time will tell.
Someone animated this with 3D models or something, but leave it open ended until the final character is revealed to see if Steve is completely banished from Ultimate, holding his hand up to the glowing Smash symbol before being banished into darkness forever.
