Why did it fail?

If you still expected something good from Bethesda after Fallout 3 and Skyrim you only have yourself to blame.

Didn't play Skyrim, and for some reason I liked 3 (to be fair I was 16 when I played it) but I loved NV and went back to play 1 and 2, I mostly hoped Bethesda saw what worked with NV and just try go from there. Clearly that was a mistake.

I bought the game with money I didn't even had. I waited till the release way past midnight and even when I had college the next day I stayed up late to play it.

And I remember just playing and think "I'm not having fun yet ... It's been 8 hours and I'm still not having fun ... Should I worry?"
