How did they manage to make assassinations boring?

I think it's great. These past two Hitman games are some of my favorites, albeit I practically consider them one game but I blame Square Enix for that not IOI

Attached: images(7).jpg (185x185, 7K)

They didn't

By filtering brainlet zoomers

They are not assassination games now, they are event planning games.

>sniping Sierra Knox while she's still driving
Feels good man

>Only using events

*cling*

I wish there was a better way of identifying enforcers rather than keeping NPC icons on

How did you manage to make this thread so boring?

it's simple, OP is a faggot

Attached: bees.jpg (180x182, 13K)

what was that?

Because Square is shit with their "Western" ips.

>Let's check it out

The coins are always so stupidly broken.

I played SC: Blacklist yesterday and I was surprised because I can't pick the AI 1 by 1.
They have some kind of row call system every 30 seconds (I think?). If one of them doesn't respond they start searching.
Does this game have this kind of feature?

...

Do later Hitman games have this system like in C47 and maybe SA and Contracts (don't remember if the latter two had it but probably did) where you could point at an interactable object from afar, click on it and see possible interactions, or do you need to come close to see what you can do?
also is there a way to switch to old captcha? The image-based shit keeps bugging out on me and it takes forever to post

The game is a sandbox. If you find it boring it's because you are a boring person.

Literally the only criticism that can be levelled at the new Man of Hits is the severe lack of full frontal male nudity. Apart from the missing floppy ragdoll pp this new iteration is fucking gold you fake boomer

Telling you what to do and making sure you follow their instructions exactly and all the interesting assassinations fall under this

Making the quickest assassinations the ones that involve distracting people while you shoot someone in the head

General bad design in 2 versus 1, and obviously versus the old games.

The bank is a pathetic excuse for a map.

Who's stopping you from enacting your own plans? You act like the only possible options are using the opportunities or running in with a pistol. And who cares what the "quickest" assassinations are? No shit, running in and blasting a guy is the quickest way to kill him, who the fuck knew? What should they do to change that? Should they make you assemble your pistol piece by piece and load each round individually to be able to use it? You're supposed to take your time to enjoy these games retard, if you picked the fastest most obvious method, and then complain that it's the fastest most obvious method, then you're a fucking retard.

which options do you turn off?

Unbind the instinct mode.

It was more to show how broken distracting is in this game and that it wasn't like this before.
Nothing's stopping me from enacting my own plans, it's just that the game removes the fun of discovering things when it throws them in your face. You could turn them off but that's when you realise that there really isn't much else in these levels, because they designed them based on stories and the 10 feats they added.

All of them

Sadly, no. When some targets die their bodyguards start searching everything (like in Caruso's case), but that's it.
Hey, IOI guys, if you are here - get to it.

Why do your troll Hitman threads always get more replies than my comfy Hitman threads

The game sacrificed its soul for raw technicality and polished gameplay.

Hot.

which mission had the most soul?

Am I the only one who loved Hitman (2016) but hated Hitman 2?

you’re talking about the non legacy missions, right
yea the story sucks compared to 1, but the map design is way better

Yeah non legacy. Also they added a level (New York) that you have to pay extra for? Fuck them.

>find rat poison
>poison drink/food
>follow target to the bathroom
>kill target
This is 50% of the game.

I really like Miami for some reason.

you mean like 2016 did? repeatedly
try a different technique

Electrocution phone is so ridiculously OP, I imagine 70% of players used it to fry Mr. Giggles this time around. Silent Assassin accidents everywhere

that’s like saying the main mission in an open world game is just 50% of the game
like no shit

That's like saying the game is walking up to people, shooting them in the head, and leaving. Just because you do the same thing over and over because you don't want to try different methods doesn't mean the game itself is bad.

Why do I have to pay for Extra content made outside the original dev process

I just did Mr Giggles for the first time. Is he supposed to just stand in one spot forever? I couldn't figure out how to get him to move, explored the rest of the map, made radio calls, found the list, some other stuff, but no matter what I did he just stood in the middle of a crowd outside one of the shops, not moving an inch. Eventually ended up going nuclear and machine gunning down him and every guard within fifty meters of him.

When did you stop enjoying video games?

>Follow target
>Wait for them to walk under some suspended light/other object
>Shoot it down with a silenced pistol and get sweet Silent Assassin rank
This is like 72% of the game

I like it but I've only casually played the older games. It's fun going through levels again and trying different ways to pull off assassinations.
Last night I replayed some mission in Italy, where you go to a mansion and stuff. This time around I spent a decent amount of time snagging a street performer costume and becoming a killer clown assassin. Made the game way harder since I was trespassing almost everywhere.
The game isn't boring...You are.

Attached: this clown guy lol.jpg (1920x1080, 1.7M)

Nope, that was bugged. He's supposed to go into the carpet store and have a meeting on the roof. Easiest way to SA it (excluding the OP phone from Bank) is to get a waiter outfit and poison his drink on the roof

why doesn’t 47 start out with poison to spike food with anymore?

It's an unlock. You can get lethal, throw-uppy, or sedative poisons. You can also just find them on some of the maps

Great...

No. I think 2 is the worst entry in the hitman games aside from that one we dont talk about.
The missions and levels are just not done that well. They're big and there's lots of stuff, but they're far less enjoyable than previous games'.

Have you ever been on a way to a Silent Assassin score, but then on the way to the exit point you come across some cunt who nearly blew your cover earlier in the map and you just cold cock them before running away?

Blood money is the only one comparable to the 2 new games. The old ones were trash, and Hitman: Kane and Lynch edition was trash too.

t. Zoomer

I played the old games back when I actually liked video games and I didn't like them then.

I didn't ask for your life story

And I didn't ask you to be a whiny cunt but here you are.

They aren't

I Love the game so far, stop being a faggot maybe.

how long until they pack the base game and the new maps into a single package?

What the fuck is the sudden stream of threads talking shit about this game? Is it one dedicated autist who hates the game?
When the new game came out last year every thread on Yea Forums was talking about how much fun it was and the threads were just overall super comfy.
Quit being a faggot OP.

>muh rating system

Attached: BFE68247-3E63-49D1-B0C0-A0CD825DEAF4.jpg (347x346, 76K)

They need to nerf the core mechanics massively, all you need is throwables and you can take down anyone thanks to the countless closets/bushes

I'm waiting on Hitman to be the most random possible. It's too scripted and I'm tired of it.

Am I the only one that thinks Sapeinza is a drag to replay? Having to go down to the lab is meh. At least its faster after I learned about shooting that conveniently placed stalagtite above the virus

>Rob a bank with a handful of coins and and a briefcase

That lab shit is one of the reasons it's the worst location to master on the hardest difficulty.

The secondary objectives can be annoying. Sgail and the bank seem like better ways to do them.

>Sgail
>Can just leave after the 2 targets are dead and let the other dude handle the secondary objective
>Bank has 2 ways to complete the secondary objective

And then you have Whittleton Creek which is awful for that shit. I wish they would at least let the player just skip secondary objectives after you finish the mission the first time.

This

Really enjoyed both Hitman and Hitman 2 but had to take off mission stories, mini map, instinct, auto aim and a few other bits of HUD/help to actually make it a fun immersive challenge. Only thing I really wanted to but couldn't take off was the NPC icons for guards/NPCs that will see thorough your disguise. Next games IOI need to give them distinct dialogue/mannerisms so players can tell who won't 've fooled by disguises without the stupid little immersion breaking icons

you can also throw an emp charge at the laptop that destroys the virus.

>Watch Kotti
>Autistic bitching about the rating system and viewcones
>Watch CJ
>Spends 5 hours reloading while trying to do a speedrun trick instead of just doing it the normal way that takes 2 minutes
>"What the fuck? Come on man!"

Is there a single good Hitman youtuber out there?

Attached: 1480711338634.jpg (189x189, 32K)

The easiest way for me was just knocking out those two guards on the cliff overlooking the lab and sniping the virus through the glass.

I don't know if i have done something wrong but my first instict on this map was to climb up to the carpet store roof, where i was surprised to find Giggles, afterwards i just knocked everyone out and went around looking for the guestlist.

I'm just using the electric phone for every ET until they nerf it.

MrFreeze is who I watch for getting specific things.

>kill target
>they die
This is like 100% of the game

CJ is comfy at the very least. Most Hitman players seem to be either complete autists or casuals that suck at the game with no inbetween. Still, I think the Japanese players are quite good.
He's boring to watch though.

>instinct mode
man this shit makes it a lot worse I think, the fact that you can just track your target perfectly from 1km anyway is so silly. The old maps were much better

If they just made it a bit hardcore it would be the best one

>Kottis scoring system is his "ideal superior system"
>lets you kill at least two civilians so long as they die in accidents and you wipe two tapes (which every level usually has, one for public areas and another for private areas)
>this still keeps you in SA range

Blood Money had way more unique levels and smaller maps allowed them for more fun level design. Fuck nu-hitman.

I only like to watch him after I've already done the challenge/ET he's showing just to see if my way was better or not.

The only good suggestion I've hear him make is that trespassing shouldn't be an instant SA fail as long as you turn around and leave as instructed, since sometimes it's easy to walk into a trespassing area without even knowing it's off-limits.

Which Hitman game apart from the nu ones is worth buying?

Contracts and Blood Money
Silent Assassin is pretty janky with some ass sections, and Codename 47 is more or less a proof of concept

Silent Assassin
Contracts
Blood Money

Start with Blood Money if you've never played any before, it's by far the most accessible.

Nah
The game is fantastic, and packed with opportunities

more like
>find target
>throw coins around to lure them into room
>close door
>kill with melee object and neck snap

They need to make Hitman more gritty again like Hitman: Contracts. A gritty, spooky atmosphere with Hitman 2's graphics and gameplay would be the GOAT.

>playing this and the previous one, sipping beers in front of the roaring fireplace listening to Massive Attack.

One of my more recent Top Comfy vidya memories.

I feel like they tried to go back to Silent Assassin's style but haven't quite nailed it and now they're in a weird place. It feels too PG-13.

>find target
>throw coin
>"Hey you go check this out"
Nice one

>listening to Massive Attack

Attached: 1495679705261.jpg (540x729, 37K)

>new location
>try to most of all the challenges on professional difficulty etc
>lots of saving and loading of course
>at one point it will crash
>couldn't figure it out for a long time
>learn it's because the mission built up so much bloat, the autosaving can't handle it anyway

Cool I guess.

Attached: 1429283196189.jpg (595x595, 236K)

It's really rare that this is actually the case, but I love when a game's crutch mechanic can be disabled/ignored entirely. They could have just as easily hamfisted instinct into a more necessary mechanic by locking necessary info to finish an assassination behind using it.

Only other game that I can think of that did this was MGSV with its reflex mechanic. You could turn it off altogether and I think you even received some bonus for playing without it

Only happened to me once, when I was trying to get the challenge to throw 47 people into the water on Sgail.

>new map releases
>get hyped for a brand new level
>It's complete shit

The bank level is somehow even shit tier than the beach prologue. Still only 5 full fledged levels what the actual fuck

What the fuck? The bank is one of the best levels in the game.

Only Miami assassinations were boring due to a combination of a very large map, player-dependent triggers, and roaming targets.
