I think it's stupid even as somebody that never tried to fill the NatDex and has dropped Pokemon after X bored the hell out of me. People aren't just mad that they can't have everyone in one game or that their bro isn't in every game going forward, it's that Masuda gave possibly the worst excuses he could have:
>It's hard to get them all in there (when they said before Gen 6 that they made all the models "futureproof")
>It's hard to animate them all (when Gen 8 just uses Gen 6/7-tier animation which is a static idle pose and generic attack/hurt animations)
>It's not feasible (when they're making the games for the world's MOST POPULAR FICTIONAL IP and could double their staff without putting a dent in their profits from the game)

I never personally cared much, but I understand why people would be mad. Is there even any other series that lets you transfer data through 7 gens of games? This was one of the things that made pokémon unique.

Who has ever given a fuck about the story? It's only there to entertain small children, it surely holds nothing of value for adults. You destroy the story without even trying to.
