More like what the fuck was THIS schizos problem

Facts. You can not prove me wrong.

Thinking and saying that the body double for Big Boss exists solely to explain Big Boss surviving Metal Gear 1, a plot detail so minor and insignificant, is extremely retarded no matter how you put it.

Thinking and saying that the FOB nuclear disarmament ending exists solely to explain Metal Gear 2's backstory claiming that "global disarmament efforts" are taking place, a plot detail that's, despite not exactly being insignificant, just as minor as Big Boss surviving Metal Gear 1, is extremely retarded no matter how you put it as well.

MGSV was not created in the mind of having a story that ties to the MSX games.
>b-b-but Kojima expressed interest in making Metal Gear 1 and 2 remakes!!!1
That's because before MGSV, MGS1-4 already completely fucked up the comprehensibility and the canonicity of the MSX games.

Had there been no NGSV, remakes would still have been considered anyway. MGSV's purpose of creation was not to serve as a tie to possible Metal Gear 1 and 2 remakes and it's development and storywriting did not correspond in any way with Kojima's interest in making Metal Gear 1 and 2 remakes. Trying to prove that point further, consider how MGSV's story is fully self contained in terms of that it doesn't impact the canon of the games that take place after MGSV.

Also, don't forget that him expressing interest in making Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2 remakes was in 2014. Let's flash forward to one year later, where he completely changes his mind about, loses interest in, and scraps the possibility of any sort of remake coming in the future:
>"I always say 'this will be my last Metal Gear,'" Kojima said, "but the games in the series that I've personally designed and produced — Metal Gear on MSX, MG2, MGS1, 2, 3, 4, Peace Walker, and now MGSV — are what constitute a single 'Metal Gear Saga.' With MGSV, I'm finally closing the loop on that saga."

>"In that sense, this will be the final 'Metal Gear Solid,'" Kojima continued. "Even if the 'Metal Gear' franchise continues, this is the last 'Metal Gear.'"

>[MGSV] is the last 'Metal Gear'.
[MGSV] is the last 'Metal Gear'.
>[MGSV] is the last 'Metal Gear'.
[MGSV] is the last 'Metal Gear'.

How do these bother you, but not the literal biggest plot hole in the entire series? THey develop a completely renewable resource that works as a straight up replacement for oil in MG2, then immediately bring back plot threads about waning resources

This game is great honestly

Great is a strong word. It's solid, but it has a lot of flaws. Too many that really keep it from being great.

I love and hate it at the same time. I S ranked all of the missions when it first came out but I can't bring myself to play it again because of how bad some parts were.

>What the FUCK was this schizos problem?
The first batch was black.

I get this. It was so much fun playing the first time through, but once I got to the end and realized that's all it was, I struggle to go back in. It's not a complete game and you feel it whenever you go back in
