Use the 3ds guide, however the last 2 3DSs I hacked I had to change it up some to make it work.
I needed 2 flash cards, I am using r4 gold, I happen to have 2 so this isn't a problem just a hassle. When it gets to the part where you put the magnet on the 3ds you have to switch to the other card and then dum the bin from the new card to flash the first card back to usability.
Second use an older version of god9mode the current version doesn't work.

Not playing anything, but this thread reminds me my son's custom GBA is downstairs. I replaced the stock screen with a backlit soldered to the MOBO, replaced the dingy white shell with a seafoam-colored one that glows in the dark and bought a copy of Super Mario Bros 3 as a Christmas gift. I rarely have any downtime to myself these days, much less to play vidya.
I also have an old bag with two original HUEG Game Gears that I'm told won't power on. Haven't tested them myself yet. I'm wondering how much I could hock them for to buy a PSP-3000 to hack.

Just finished FFVII on my vita.
I couldn't beat Sephiroth so I messed around in the settings and it caused a "Data Error" everytime I battled him and it prompted me to soft-reset. I soft-reseted and it skipped the battle for me. I'll take it.
Might play Crisis Core but I haven't decided if I want to take a long break from jrpgs for a while now. Kinda wanna play Persona 2 IS but I don't want to play EP because it's PS1 only in English.

you don't need the flash cart. just follow the instructions to install twilight menu and add your ROMs and you're good to go
