Whomp stands out from other "I am a loser" webcomics by being more over the top. Ronnie isn't just fat, he is so fat that any shirt he wears turns into an Hawaiian shirt. He is not just bad with women, he is so bad that even a hurricane will refuse to pass through his area. Stuff like this plays with your expectations and feels more like a healthy laugh at yourself than something that makes you feel pity like Dobson and Owlturd.

There used to be some actual low functioning autistic kid in my art class in middle school who would draw comics and throw them out if he made a mistake.
