Slap Ball was an awesome game-mode and I regret trashing people at it so hard that they dismissed it forever

Of all the games posted in this thread at least this one was fun for a day or so. It had no staying power, obviously, but it was fun to pick up for a Saturday.

A cursory glance at Steam stats shows it's averaging around 17,000. That's not bad. It's dropping compared to the 20k/30k it was last year, but still being in the tens of thousands in the wake of battle royales is still pretty good. It probably helps it's also on every platform too.

his upthrow used to have set knockback (like every other character IIRC) but they changed it because he could combo off it
i guess it was unbalanced but so was everything else at time, i had assumed the game followed the philosophy of "make everything broke so nothing is"

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't this the first stand-alone (that is, it wasn't mod like dota) Moba? Like, Lol came out a few months after.
To be honest I am not even sure if it's moba, I have never seen the gameplay of Demigod.

I got really invested in it. I really like mobas with long time-to-kills but they're an endangered breed.

in their defense, apparently the definitive version exists and Steam just doesn't like the idea of a F2P game costing money

If they allowed you to host your own server and direct join, it would still be alive and well today. This is why modern multiplayer is trash.

PS4/One? Both are just crippled PCs, so porting the game would be easier, and since neither have a decent Smash clone it would make the game look more attractive in their stores.

1.0 is after adventure mode is done right? I hope if it does come to console it will have crossplay, Switch would be good if it can maintain 60 FPS. I wonder if Slap will do free weekends to get people to try it, I would like to see SC show up at tournaments at least as often as RoA.

You should have already known to avoid EA's games by that point by the examples of Pandemic, Origin and Bullfrog.
