Ugly women with low self esteem are threatened by even moderately attractive women to the point that they want to pretend that the existence of a truly attractive woman is unlikely and exaggerated by people to put them down.
It happens that a lot of the mouthpiece SJW types are those self-same people with low self esteem. When Western Devs and Publishers put this simple two and two together they realized that it was pathetically easy to score brownie points and a die hard shill defense force by pandering to these morons and the beta male orbiters trying to prop up their self image for some pussy.
It's hard to consistently make great games so modern Western devs instead half-ass it an rely on pandering so that anyone speaking out against their stupidity is instantly and loudly branded a racist or misogynist or gynecologist or whatever other shit they'll choose to call you for daring to speak out against a game they say they like on twitter. By annihilated criticism with broad brush generalizations Devs can make shit games repeatedly and not suffer for it. Bioware almost got away with this until the two piece trash-fire of Andromeda and Anthem.
