yea if you prefer Woolsey's meme translations over actual proper translations.
With the brilliant visual presentation of DQXI, and both the localization AND remake of Seiken Densetsu 3...
SD3's remake is getting an overhaul of the combat system. The stats that don't work will work, magic won't constantly freeze the action, and the devs mentioned that they will be allowing weapon switching and incorporating verticality (via air combos and the like). It's not as drastic as VIIR but it's going to be different enough in a good way.
I'd like the length of the core game itself to roughly stay the same. About 15-25 hours for the story. But the amount of side content and general exploration should be increased. It doesn't need to be BotW huge, but I want to really explore all the different time periods on more than an admittedly hollow world map.
Also, unpopular opinion, but I don't want it to have any forced connections to Cross.
It’s not a meme translation, idiot.
I hope so, cause SD2's remake felt like a barely-put-together cash grab. And the visuals honestly don't look better than the original SNES graphics, imo.

That's really not an unpopular opinion. Cross doesn't have anywhere near the fanbase Trigger has. It's not by any means a horrible game, but it definitely isn't anywhere near as good as Trigger.
Calling it now, it'll be the only ace in the hole Squeenix has after FF7R. Except for the next DQ and FF mainline games, what else do they even have to be hype about anymore? Literally nothing. Chrono Trigger will be the next big project people want anyway.
So why is this game associated with Final Fantasy when it’s far closer to a Dragon Quest spinoff?
It is made by Square, not Enix, for one thing.
